Like around 1/3 or less of act one.

People crying about no customization and the game being easy might have a problem upstairs if you know what I mean. Do World of Warcraft players complain about the first 10 levels of the game as being way too easy and not having any customizing ? Or do Starcraft 2 players play the first mission of the campaign on easy and declare it too easy and shit ?
You really ought to use your brains more if this is your line of thought, especially since Blizzard has often said Normal difficulty will be easy for experienced gamers and a way to train inexperienced ones up to a standard. People seem to forget there is Nightmare, Hell and Inferno to go. Apparently Inferno is so hard the developers themselves are afraid to play it...
Inferno hardcore ladder play. See you there people.

Surely you noticed the " CONGRATULATIONS YOU FINISHED THE BETA " once you killed the Skeleton King ?

Feel pretty dumb now that I know it says it after you beat the boss rofl. awesome.

Overall it's ridiculously short and easy, but the gameplay itself feels pretty fluid, will try other classes and some co-op later. I think only interesting encounter I had during the game was super fast ranged monster with a pack of similar ones, he also had some sort of short stun thing on shot and during that time I managed to take quite a lot of damage from focus fire.
Had a waller mob yet ? God those are fucking scary in a cramped cave... They put walls up behind you that last a few seconds, just spam them up and get into melee with you. Very scary as a caster / ranged class :Þ.

so now what? ;/ the game didn't really convince me to buy it. /sigh Be happy it took you nearly 2 hours, my first run through back in September took little over 45mins and that was reading everything and taking to everyone to get the story
45 minutes is not possible if you talk to everyone and explore all the areas. sorry. i talked to everyone and explored everything on my way through ( found a lot of extra quests and lore ) and it took me about 2 hours 30 min - 3 hours 30 min to finish.

Seems pretty similar to me... my computer has a few framerate issues with both on max. Okay, I hope I will be able to run it smoothly, otherwise I have to buy a new laptop for this. Price of Diablo 3 (350 DKK) Price of laptop able to run it (9000+ DKK) Playing Diablo 3: Priceless :D Already played beta, but lagged SO HARD. (either my laptop or my parents crappy internet, hoping for the latter)
Expect over 200 ping constantly in the beta since servers are only in the US.

Some people enjoy farming for gear. Not every game has to be a WoW clone. Also, D3 is not an MMO, so comparing WoW and D3 is kinda pointless. But it's true that the Diablo series has been more of a single/coop game, it's never tried to be a MMO, and it still doesn't.
Anyway, if you don't enjoy games like this, then just don't buy it. There exists people who enjoy farming/grinding games and wants D3 to remain as such.
Yeah I've playing so much WoW in the past that grinding/farming even single player games for that matter just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I'm more of a pvp whore, love bgs/arena and just general multiplayer components of games. So yeah this game isn't for me :D. This is the response I wanted so thank you.

Which class do you guys prefer? so far ive tried monk and barbarian. i really like the monk class, charge->blind everyone->awesome somersault kick everyone

My few cents on the beta :
Destroying environment is absolutely fucking addicting, especially as wizard and barbarian, I go around blowing everything up even after killing all the monsters just for the oh so good feeling.
Barbarian melee feels really strong just from the ragdoll effects. Just your basic bash skill sends enemies flying across the room and blood and guts everywhere... So satisfying.
So excited about the game.

Just finished 1 - Skelly King on a Barb in 35 mins.
Barb has the best effects hand down, I got a holy weapon and things just dissolve when they die.

Gahhhh I'm so sad the beta playthrough is so short T.T I cancelled all my plans for this weekend thinking it would take some time to run through the game with every char... but now I think I should be done by saturday night...
More ontopic, I like the feel of the game so far. Crafting was fun and my Barb felt awesome cleaving through mass hordes. Kinda felt imba tbh as all I really had to do was left click with cleave through the entire game Can't wait for release to get to inferno and a real challenge :D

and those 7 months was damn fun. Can't wait for the full release of the game.

Skill interface is horrible.
How do I change hotkeys? i.e. I want to move my Magic Missiles which is bound to left click to right click instead.

Enable elective mode in gameplay options

I've tried every "solution" to the updating setup files stick. Nothing has worked, so I give up. Really wanted to try the beta to see how the game works on my computer. Can't justify buying it until I know.
TT
Edit: Apparently complaining on TL is the magical fix, because it suddenly worked. Praise the sun! \o/
