But if I had to choose between items: Is more vitality better or more armor? It depends how much of each you have. EHP is the product of your armor and your vitality, which means you have to balance your gains between the two. I don't think anyone has mathed out the best proportion of each yet, but the general idea is that you should be balancing HP and armor, not just stacking one or the other.

Thank you.
Also on a weapon, what are the differences between fire, cold, poison, holy damage? Different properties? Can monsters be resistant to these?

anyone know the difference between damage mitigation provided by Armor and damage mitigation provided by Reistance?

Is there a way to check what my damage would be like with two 1hand weapons while having a 2hander equipped? I'm debating switching over to dual wielding crossbows, but before I spend all that gold it would be nice to be able to check if it'll actually increase my dps.

Does anyone know if the Monk debuffs from Resolve (-25% damage) and Crippling Wave + Concussion (-20% damage) stack with each other?

im a lvl 52 barb and in my experience its better to focus on Vit before hell. After Hell I found myself going for primarily armor.
The mobs pre-hell arnt doing a ton of damage and just having more hp would be more beneficial, but in hell where they are doing tons of damage its better to have that % reduction damage from armor

Can i increase my crit % from items?

Here my understanding about it. Armor let you reduce all inc damage physical/cold/poison/arcane etc... And there are resistance to come after that. Say, you have 50% reduction from Armor and 10% Physical reduction for Physical resist, if a mob hit you physically for X amount, you would only take 40% of that.
So, from hell, resistant are really important. So gear that +all resistant are really really good, its like you have additional armor vs all kind of damage apart from the item's original armor itself.
|
Yea the +all resist is really really good. I have been duoing quite a bit with a monk tank who builts almost flat vit, armor, +resists and he gets hit like a pansy in inferno. Imo it is much more effective than stacking dodge where an unlucky string of hits gets you killed. Plus with huge amounts of resist, +hp/sec actually starts to become semi-useful.

Is it worth it to keep the low crafting material from normal all the way to the endgame or is it usless there ?

Do the Inferno's monster drop better items than the lower difficulty level ones? Do the best items have better chance to be dropped from Elite enemies?

Yes. Yes. Anything else would be terrible, terrible design.

Is there site with information about set bonuses for complete sets ?
|
On May 22 2012 23:01 Pitrocelli wrote: Is there site with information about set bonuses for complete sets ? The only way i know is if you know the type of any item from the set, then you can search for entire set here: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/ For example: i wanna find tal rasha set and i know that this set has a helm, so i go to helms section, click "set" and click on the helmet from the set to bring me here: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/tal-rashas-horadric-crest
Hope someone knows a better way

If you are talking about the +2-3 poison damage stats that appear on weapons, I am pretty sure they are included in the dps of the weapon. No ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/AJZzW.png) You can add a gem to a weapon and you will notice that the dps will change. I can't seem to be able to do this...
searching on the 'All Damage' stat returns nothing every time. I cant seem to do it too, tried to search for a ring with damage but nothing show up. How to know how much damage then? Can you see it if you click details (or w/e it's called)? Im thinking of the stat called "damage"
Interesting, so rubied weapons in AH actually do more dmg than AH displays
