While i'll admit i'm a skeptic. I'm going to give it time.
The one thing i do know, is that GOM has been very good about accepting criticism and suggestions. (they were very nice, about a particular song i suggested)
If she isn't up to par after a couple weeks, i know Gom will do whatever is in the best interest for Esports.

Anyone else notice how many UMMS? were on that video? We should make a drinking game out of it!, like in HIMYM .. yes,... I watched that episode =O

Have you seen the line up for this Code A? It is going to be epic.
Well. WAS going to be epic. not so much now... =(
I just can't believe GOM thinks that just because she's a girl, the community will love her/warm up to her and disregard her total lack of ability to cast in understandable english! O_O
Does GOM really think SC2 fans are that one dimensional??

So far it's not looking too good, mainly basing this on my little experience with her casting. I also dislike the accent, It's better then rotterdam but I generally think that the casters should have a solid English / American access. + Her game knowledge does not seem to be the best.
But I can only hope that I'm wrong, especially now when Code A is awesome with these up and coming star players!

She wouldn't be my first, or second choice. But if she really puts in the effort I hope it can be good. One plus is that it would be nice to not be listening to dudes ALL the time. Having a girl caster could be a nice change. But I think she needs to brush up on her skills. Maybe a Tastetosis boot camp? I hope she does well just for the sake of GSL and Esports!

What!!!! This is not code A of Jan, this brackets are stacked!!! Most of these players did way better in the GSTL than the code S counterparts.

You'd be surprised how many of them were in the original announcement thread... Comments like "she's nice" or "she's cute" were used in her casting ability's defense.

With that being said, we at GOMtv would like to let you know that we will keep on improving to better serve our customers and the community and to contribute to the further development of eSports. Wow this sounds like Gom is apologizing for hiring her, or that she isn't good enough. They should and she isn't. It's just the unfortunate truth of the matter as emphasized by how the vast majority of people here are saying the exact same thing.

Artosis and Tasteless probably were part of this discussion on who to hire, if they knew they would be working with them, and frankly I value their opinions.

For the time being, Tasteless and Artosis will take turns casting with Kelly "kellyMILKIES"
Sweet, hopefully Tasteless/Artosis casts all the high level games + Foreign matches, If it's her casting moonglade/Huk's games, Ima be pissed

This is really the important point. Complaining about GOM's decision isn't really productive. Criticizing the way they made their decision is.
Lately there's been a pattern of GOM making decisions that are unpopular, and have no real rational explanation. This is a lot like the selection of foreigners seeded in Code A. It seems like GOM is making haphazard decisions based on cost and expediency, instead of building a strong and consistent organization.
It's as though they woke up the morning before their big exam and realized they never studied anything. People often say things like "This isn't bad for such short notice" or "They have to make some compromises in order to get someone quickly." That's fine for most situations, but GOM is running the world's largest esports tournament. This is supposed to be a serious organization, with serious sponsors, giving away serious money. It really seems pretty disorganized though.
I really hope Kelly does well, but that doesn't mean picking her was a smart decision. GOM needs to wise up if they want to keep running the world's premier SC2 league. There are plenty of other organizations out there who would love to take their place.

Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news but they will be casting alongside KellyMilkies. So Artosis + Milkies and Tasteless + Milkies.

GSTL is also a very different beast. I didn't watch BW games really, but, as said on one of the recent State of the Game podcasts, there were some teams in BW who had players that got nowhere in the main tournament and then would dominate the team leagues (or, at least, do way, way better).
I agree with you that some of them did spectacularly, but we can't make such a bold judgment yet (I'm excited for the new blood, though!).

No, Code A will be cast sosmetime as Kelly and Artosis or Kelly and Tasteless. Read the thread .

Wow this is actaully the douchiest thread I think I've ever seen. I know people can have their own opinions and all but SERIOUSLY? I can also understand why people have trouble with her accent but why all the flame. Give people a chance y'know

Explain to me what they did wrong there.
GOM asked for players to register interest for seeding into Code A Some players (the list was not revealed) registered interest. The 4 top players who were currently in Korea at the time of announcement were given seeding.
It seems pretty clear to me that everyone else who applied were those in Korea, or were not willing to go to Korea for that GSL season. Unless you're suggesting that VTSpades/Torch/Laneir, FXOBoss should've been seeded ahead of Ret/Haypro/HuK or Moonglade.
