I'm a Christian and I do think that being gay is technically a sin however I don't think gay marriage should be illegal anywhere that isn't completely dominated by 1 religion. Dogmatic and able to understand the social contract is not meant to further Christian values? A rare breed have we here. OT: I really wish I was religious because I feel it'd be nice to have some amount of sureness in life; can't manage to summon the faith to follow unquestioningly, which really feels necessary to me.

I knocked the side windows of a car off with the sidewindow of my car when I was driving by too close and proceeded to park 10 meters away from that car like nothing happened, even though 2 classmates of mine drove directly behind me and witnessed the whole thing. they kept my little secret and up to this day they're the only ones who know about it.

Do you believe that being gay is something that can be "cured" with faith? I believe the zeitgeist documentary explained something about that.

I have heard stories of there being gay christians. I don't think that faith can "cure" homosexuality because if it could you would probably be hearing all sorts of stories of homosexuals being "converted" to heterosexuality and how "amazing" it is to be free of the "sin" of being gay. Another thing I have been thinking of that people use as an argument against homosexual marriage is that it contradicts nature and how God designed everything. But to me it seems like being gay is a natural thing. I'm sure most gay people weren't captured and brainwashed into being gay. I haven't read or heard much on this issue of homosexuality but I have just done a lot of thinking on this topic recently. As a christian I believe people go to hell for being sinners, not for not believing in Jesus. We all sin. And because of this I don't think being gay is a sin more than anything else is a sin. I don't mean to be a preacher but you asked about what I believe. Also, since I don't think homosexuality can be "cured", I think that churches should stop condemning homosexuals and instead accept them for who they are. That is the only way that Christians will have any chance of spreading their beliefs among the homosexual community.

I was so shocked that he'd said that, I ran home crying to my mother. When she asked what happened, I didn't want to say it to her because I thought it was so bad. Never told her eventually..
