Hello all,
I have searched the forum for someone reporting an error like this before and cannot seem to find a thread about it. I have been playing on ICCUP for awhile now and since tonight have just joined other's games. I have been wanting to play on certain maps so I decided to start making my own.
I have my ports forwarded and all that good stuff...however when I make a game I get a weird error. No matter what I name the game, it says there is a game that exists already with that name. I can mash my keyboard and it will give me the same error...
Any ideas? Thanks

If it is one on one and the map is not an official iccup map, it will say name already exists.

I get this randomly sometimes. Try to just restart starcraft?
Edit: nvmd looks like the above post has a better answer
|
Yea I have tried restarting multiple times and I am only using maps that come from the official map pack.

You're probably not using the current iCCup maps, try downloading the most recent mappack from their site and make games with those.
EDIT: hm, maybe your mappack is a season or two behind? if not, I don't know
|
Well I just downloaded it when the new PL maps came out. I think that was only a few weeks ago? Anyways, im going to delete all my maps and try re downloading them again. Hope it works

this happened to me back at pgt and my problem was my router. when i directly connected to the internet with the modem, it stopped giving me that message. never had the problem in iccup though.

Make sure you aren't accidentally trying to host the Obs versions of the maps.

I keep getting that error, even when I'm using the correct versions/game setting/etc. Router problem? WRT54G is a real bitch for gaming =/

Ok re dling the maps did the trick. I must have had old versions of the maps like you said. Thanks for the help
