I've been studying Japanese for 2 years now because I'm interested in it's culture, I don't think ant post could seriously make me want to slaughter all japanese.

Also I think Japanese invented Dance Dance Revolution which is a good reason to love Japan.

The air force would knock that sucker down so fucking fast. And Blackjack, remember that we fucking bombed their embassy by accident. If the Chinese bombed one of our embassies by accident, do you think we'd just let it pass?

Most americans I know think that this double standard either doesn't exist, or it benefits us becuase it lets us do whatever the fuck we want. But in this day and age, doing whatever the fuck we want will ultimately hurt us the most.

There're huge gap between the commonly recognized historical fact and BBS in regard with credibility. Maybe there are some exceptions such as Japanese history book.

Moreover, the subjects covered are different. Unlike "Yesterday's Baseball game", history is intrinsically related to something you've not experienced at all. Furthermore, as a person who watched the baseball game, I think, I can tell you not to mention of it unless you didn't watch it.

Finally, I wonder how young you are. Counldn't you distinguish the fact and personal judgement? Or, is it applicable to the whole Japanese to be lacking in the ability of telling them? It goes to personal judgement whether referee's right or wrong. As I talking about history, you can tell whether it is a fact or personal judgment, and choose to accept.

In my previous posts, I tried to show Japan tried to hide certain historical facts, and evaluate revealed historical facts in the way of gilding it.

I didn't tried to say that's wrong, but that's the reason why Koreans of Chinese hate Japanese.

Another thing but, I don't want to start a debate over this so I will not reply to your answer of my question. Why do you want US politics to be governed by internalistic views when our circumstance really doesn't require it all that much? I mean honestly why should other countries opinion of the US have so much impact on our welfare. More like why should you let the whole class copy your test or face ridicule for being a teacher's pet or good little boy. Thats really what internationalism is all about, appeasing other countries.

But to reinforce my initial goal, I just want a response from tenbagger and I will not reply in order to not digress further from the main topic.

becuase being a good citizen is the best policy for us. For example, Bush thought it would be in the best policy for america to impose huge steel tariffs. But in the end, that was ruled to be unfair by the WTO and europe planned on imposing 2 billion dollars worth of tariffs on other goods. In the end, all it would have done would have been to subsidize the inefficient US steel industry at the cost of other more efficient and competitive industries. Which in the bigger picture does more harm to us. Another example is the whole idea of a pre-emptive strike. Sure, one can make a point that it is in our best interests to attack before we get attacked. But my point is that sets a dangerous precendet. The world as a whole would be a much more dangerous place if every country that feels threatened can unilaterally and forcefully make a pre-emptive strike. While a pre-emptive strike might have (we still don't know the extent of WMD) supported our national security in this one instance, in the long haul, I think it did more to encourage a more dangerous world. Ideally, all disputes should be resolved through through diplomacy (UN) and not violence (war). My point isn't so much about appeasing other countries as it is about being a good citizen. Should a citizen care about polluting the lake water if it's not his property and not in his home area? Why should that citizen expend resources and efforts to help and "appease" others? Because being a good citizen will encourage others to also become good citizens and the lake in my backyard will have less chance of being polluted by people in another town. My point is not that the US will wage war with china if they accidently bomb our embassy. My point is that we treat other nations on a different standard than what we expect from them. As the only superpower in the world, we can throw our weight around for good (international aid) and for bad. And it's unfortunate that the good that we do often gets overshadowed because we sometimes treat other nations with little respect. Ultimately, acting like a bully will eventually get us shot. We must do our best to respect other countries and yes DV8, we must appease them. If we don't, we'll forever live in fear of more terrorism, no matter how much bush pumps into our military. This is one enemy that we cannot defeat with war and hate. We can only defeat them through peace and love. We must show our muslim brothers that we truly care about them. Because no matter how much moeny is pumped into the army and for intellegence, there is no way to stop one man from blowing himself up. That is precisely why we're failing in Iraq right now. There is no way to stop all those attacks on helicopters by traditional warfare. The way to have stopped it was to stop the looting in the first few days to show the iraqi people that we truly care about them. We should have trained the army in policing so they would have been more equipped to "serve and protect" instead of their traditional mission to "seek and destroy". Instead of pouring money into high-tech weaponry, we should have taken more efforts at limiting the deaths of innocent iraqi bystanders. The US gov't itself has recognized that other countries opinion of us is critical to our homeland security. Since bush has come into power, our ratings have dropped all over the world and we are trying hard to correct that. My humble opinion is the way to correct that is not by taking our ads that the arab world sees as propoganda but by actions. By genuinely caring about others, they will respond by treating us with the same respect, ie not bombing us. Again, I'm not saying we don't do anything good. We do a whole lot of good by as I said before it's overwhelmingly overshadowed by the type of selfish behavior that you advocate. To not care about anything else other than "our interests". Until we correct that fundamental approach to diplomacy, we will forever live in fear.

Saying that we expect other countries to treat us with higher standards than treat them, is not just your opinion, its simply wrong.

We aren't faling in Iraq. If you realized, there are better schools, more electricity, we got rid of an evil dictator that tortured his own people, we are rebuilding the country into a democracy, and no matter how it turns out, it will be better then it was before.

Lastly, we should have never gone to war with Iraq.

It's normal for people from out of Asia not to understand why we Asians hate Japan so much.

Japan has done enough to kill the Asians, to rape the Asian women, to burn the Asians houses, to rob Asians' land and resources!

What's more, the Japanese has never said sorry to the Chinese, the Koreans, the Ventamnese etc, still, their president is visiting the war memorials that is designed for the most brutal and inhuman war ciminals whose hands are stuffed with the blood of the Asians!

Have anyone of you, Americans, French, Spanish experienced that?

SO I can understand your misunderstandings of why we Asians hate Japan.I will never stop boycotting Japanese goods until their government appologize for what they have done in world war 2.
