I think skill matters most in the matchup. But that Zergs also have a slight advantage in a matchup between two equally skilled players.

I think the MU is fine as is, but is also tad zerg favored. More so the map design causing the zerg leaning bias. We have had plenty maps were zerg had definitive disadvantage.

I think there may be a bigger issue with TvP than PvZ atm.
What are the current records of Snow, Best, Bisu and Mini vs Terran? Seems a very hard matchup to win in the age of the speed shuttle.

Isn't the problem with PvZ is that zerg pressures toss way too hard in the early game? Especially in high level play zerg loves to pressure the natural with hydra busts or muta harass, forcing protoss to play defensively until they get templars. Even then they can barely keep up in terms of macro moreso once protoss realizes zerg is in hive tech and have like 9 hatches in like 4 - 5 expansions.
If protoss can somehow find a way to solve that early game pressure problem then the matchup would be much better.
...Is it time to bring out the dark archon strats?

It might be biased, but still let us rewind to see if its anchoring bias is predictive of the future;
• ASL 12 was a protoss title with Mini at the front,
• ASL 13 was a zerg upset with Larva as he beat Mini with 2 incredible timing builds,
• 14, 15 were T upsets and from 16 to 20, we basically established Z reign. However it is not just any reign, it was Soulkey macro zerg reign. In 20, as Soulkey lost, it became a free for all because Soma is not a specific type of player. He can play random builds just like Mini did to win at the start of this 8 long ASL run. Anybody can deliver as long as they can upset a random build player. It is not as hard as beating a consistent macro player like Soulkey. They had to wait until Soulkey slipped up in 20. On the other hand, anybody can upset a pro with an inconsistent streak on a random day.

40 more seasons and you may be able to get a sample size that is generally to be thought of as large enough to draw any conclusion, as then the t stat is close enough to the z stat.... Worse than that, you guys just look at recent ASLs. Nice sample guys.
I swear maybe you guys should stop using 'ASL winners' as a meaningful statistics, as it depends on the extreme end of the distribution, which can change drastically based on who is motivated enough to train hard. If Flash is motivated again, suddenly he wins all ASL. Same with Soulkey...or when Snow finally optimizes his builds.
