Hello friends everyone. We are a team of developers, developing a portal (software) for StarCraft 2 players which will give them the opportunity to earn money on their ability to play the game StarCraft 2. The idea is simple: the software will select players with an equal level of play from all over the battlenet, the player will bet on how much they they want to play for example 1 dollar or 50 dollars and a duel will take place between the players, then the duel will be moderated and whoever wins the duel will pay out + 70% of his opponent’s bet. And here we have a question for you players. What is the best way for us to top up your account with what you will be playing with, for example, a cryptocurrency wallet? or bank card? or PayPal. Tell us how you would like to see such a system.

What's the concern? You will play on Blizzard servers! Your opponent will be equal in strength to you, it will be very easy to check this. Then, if you win, the software returns your funds (your bet on your game) and adds 70% of your opponent’s bet. We just don’t quite understand how it’s more convenient for players to replenish their balance

The matchmaking system is designed to give you a 50% win-rate.

You would have to win (significantly) more than 50% of your matches to earn anything under this system.

Doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Have you thought this through?

What stops me from creating a smurf account?

Furthermore, even if the games were fair and balanced if you only receive 70%, you'd consistently lose money at a 50/50 winrate.

Very stupid idea.

It really isn't even close to being one of the worst. It's merely utterly stupid.

Thanks for your feedback. After reading the messages, yes, I agree with you in some ways. But I will give you answers and accept your wishes.
That is, if one player’s bet is 5 dollars and the second’s is 5 dollars, the total is 10 dollars and the one who wins gets 7 dollars, put up your 5 dollars.. This is not bad money if you take into account that the game can last 15 minutes. 2 Dollars for 15 minutes of play.... for 30 minutes 4 dollars and for an hour of GAME 8 dollars... Sitting on your butt and playing you earn money just by playing, I think this idea is not bad. And if we take a bet of $50 from each player, the total in the box office is $100. Then the one who wins gets + 20 dollars, with a long game you can earn 40 dollars per hour, and this is not a bad income. Just imagine that you can earn money from anywhere on the planet just by playing your favorite game. We want to open up a new way for people to earn money, everyone plays for fun in the evenings, simply wasting their time, and we suggest spending it usefully, we also want to emphasize that for many people with health limitations who already find it difficult to live on benefits, this will be the main earnings, just imagine that everything just depends on your level of play and this is a direct path to earning money! I understand that you don’t like the interest rate of + 70%, but you also understand that we have bank commissions and other expenses, plus very large expenses for software development.

- lmao a 30% vig?

someone would just run a moneymatch matchmaking discord for free if ppl were really into this - We will try to increase the cammsision, describe how you would like to see the payment system?

The matchmaking system is designed to give you a 50% win-rate.

You would have to win (significantly) more than 50% of your matches to earn anything under this system.

Doesn't seem like a good idea to me. - You can bet $100 on yourself and win $40 in 15 or 30 minutes, with immediate withdrawal to your card.

let's call this system StarCraft2 Advanced Matchmaker or SCAM - you can call it whatever you want but this is the future, you just play and you get paid for it

Have you thought this through?

What stops me from creating a smurf account?

Furthermore, even if the games were fair and balanced if you only receive 70%, you'd consistently lose money at a 50/50 winrate.

Very stupid idea. - above we gave calculations where we showed that you can earn quite a lot of money just by playing, help us become better, describe how you see it. Regarding Smurf accounts, our software tracks your IP address, screen resolution and many other parameters, it will be difficult for you to create many accounts from one computer, even using a virtual machine, but we are not perfect, offer us your option, the player will also always be able to view the opponent’s account on BattleNet

Of all the stupid ideas that have been posted about on TL, this one is up there as one of the worst. - no comments

It really isn't even close to being one of the worst. It's absolutely stupid. - Why ? You can earn good money in an hour, the main thing is to know how to play.

Friends, write your ideas and wishes on how we can make our software correctly and how you see it.. And again, I will return to the question of how you want to see replenishment of your accounts

The biggest league is Diamond and the average winrate of a Diamond player is 51%. Please calculate me how much a player would earn if he bets $10 per games, plays 100 games and wins 51 of them.

You would win $377 dollars if math is correct.

(total bet * 100 games) + (10 refund per game win * 51 games won) + (7 dollars opponent fee * 51 games won) - (10 dollars lost * 49 games).

Let's say the average games are going to be 10 minutes long, it would take you 16.667 hours to finish those 100 games at 23 bucks ish an hour. 16 Hours of toxic stressful sc2 games where you know each lose is -$10 bucks just for a chance to make $7 bucks seems like a scam. This is a stupid idea lol.

Yeah, your math is incorrect. You pay $1000 (100 * 10) to play 100 games and win back $867 (51 * 17) for a net loss of $133. Scammers gonna scam.

Edit: Note that the money you lose while having a positive win rate is going directly to the scammer that set up the system, who is taking a 15% cut off the top of the total amount bet for every game played.
Skill is relative.

You could maybe come out ahead if you are/were like me and had absurdly divergent matchup skills. Masters PvT and plat PvZ being generous, I think 70/30 or so was my rough split:

I mean I still can’t say I like the idea and despite/because of getting hooked on various things i dont bet anyway. but this doesnt sound either fun or financially sensible at all

I could see some fun in a watch party where you bet on the outcomes of the unpredictable and fantastical realm of bronze league together mind

With 15 minute games and $10 bets rolling without gaps, $80 goes on the table and OP takes $12.

50% winrate = Both players lose $6/hr (statistically what virtually everybody is going to get).

71.43% winrate = You win $0/hr, your opponent loses 12 dollars per hour

100% winrate = You win $28/hr, your opponent loses 40 dollars per hour.

The more you play, the more you lose - unless you're an extreme outlier like Serral and banking on people who either can't do math or are intentionally giving you money for an opportunity to play against you, a system that would probably do much, much better without a third party involved.

The more you think about it the dumber it gets.

It's not quite clear by the way OP words it but there are two options:

1) Their (proposed) system uses Blizzards matchmaking.

This wouldn't work because it not only would require both players to use this app, it would also require them to have matching bets, an issue OP hasn't addressed at all so far. If there is no bet matching, what prevents me form betting 1 cent every time, hoping I run into people who bet $100?

2) They use their own matching system.

This would make it even easier to smurf and on top of that opens up the opportunity for them to screw people over by mismatching people on purpose. Who says they wouldn't be selling "premium match making" to some people that guarantees them easier opponents?

And even if their own system was legit, and they wouldn't screw people over, what stops me from betting the lowest amount for 10 games or so, until I'm in a range where I can easily beat people and then to bet big?

This is the dumbest thing i've read all year, I'll give you that! Unfortunately us SC2 gamers, who I am sure you have absolutely no idea about since you can't even use this website's quotation function, are not as gullible and stupid as you're imagining. Good luck in the future with your scams!
