What was your favorite time period of wow? The further back it was the less I think you'll like it now. TBC (when I started playing). I played every expansion though except MoP and enjoyed all of them more or less.

I think that Legion actually looks closer to TBC than WOD and MOP did

From a lore perspective I am extremely happy with everything Legion related so far. The pre-event was deep and epic and the artifact quests are really sick thus far, already did the DK and Paladin one and I can hardly wait to try them on the Warrior, Rogue and Demon Hunter.
To bad work calls, I'll get into the actual leveling zones tomorrow, but thus far this seems promising, its very similar to Wrath of the Lich King in terms of lore involvement and depth.

Big server issues hitting EU for the first time today, most people seem to have DC'd and can't get back onto the servers for the last ~40 mins. Silvermoon is "low" population at 6:18pm eu lol
right as they started having this issue the queue was a small fraction of what it was last night, so i'd guess that it's not because of player count

So a bit fun to level the artifact weapon if u start a new alt but still, the leveling process is always to long. In what world is 2.5h too long? I think it's a very good compromise. It's fast enough for people that want to rush through the content, and not too fast for players like me who like to enjoy the content. But then again, I've always said PvP only players should just get their own version of the game, with no leveling / no world, just arenas/BG. They don't play wow as an RPG, so simply give them their own game.
Yeah, it feels about right for my partner and I. We hit 101 last night before going to bed, so we'll be able to do a level a night after work, and probably finish up the rest over the weekend. Definitely won't take us more than a week to hit 110, and we're not rushing. Of course, since I work from home, I can easily just finish work early and go level a bit more haha.

Curious about leveling as tanks/heals in Legion content with the way the artifacts work. It seems like if your intention is to tank or heal at max level, you'd want to get the artifacts asap and focus all your AP into them? So is it actually reasonable and not miserable to level as most tank/heal specs right now? I know some classes have potential -- druids have those affinities and some specs are already "decent" at damage like discipline priest -- but there have to be others that are severely lacking or would just take forever. Is it expected to level as a dps spec but get the second artifact of your choice at 102(?) and pump all AP items you find into that one and neglect your dps artifact as you level?

Tanks are already pretty good at leveling because most DPS classes got hit hard when it comes to self-sustain, so being able to mitigate or heal damage on mobs is more of a big deal. Healers always are meh to level, though.
As far as "base-level DPS artifacts", I would wager they'd still be fine even if you don't put any AP into them. You get the baseline ability already if I'm not mistaken, it'll just be a bit on the weaker end while leveling.

If you want to heal, level dps spec, don't put anything into the 1st (dps) artifact, and then when you get the 2nd artifact and choose the healing one, save all the "Give your currently equipped artifact some AP" items for it because that's what you'll be using @ 110.

What I read is that it is no big deal to invest some AP into the leveling artifact. Because those starter AP is actually very little in the big picture with how much more AP you need later on. Also as a healer you still need a dps artifact and spec at 110 to do your daily quests.

Why would they bring back Violet Hold?
Fucking lazy or just them being RETARDS.

yeah ive been leveling holy pally for a bit and then switched to ret for questing and my god is it fast. holy was fine for a while but the difference was noticible in speed of doing shit. putting all my AP into my healing mace.
holy is super fun tho.

I have had no problems what so ever. Play on a low pop pvp server though.
So the thing is, i have 8 lvl 100 chars and i dont know what to play. Havent used the boost yet either so with that one its 9. Not smart to have so many alts imo. I cant choose which to play..............

With these server queues, how do yall feel about the whole server concept? I feel it's a bit aged, since a lot of zones (are? Were in wod at least) realm-group joined already.

I cant choose which to play.............. I watched Preach on youtube rating the classes by gameplay and variety in available options, no power ratings really. Though he rates dps dk top while some rate it really low in terms of gameplay. I've always mained a warrior so thats what i'll do first when i play, but dk or sham or mage or monk or hunter or druid next though... from his tips, shaman or druid will be second.
