It was totally normal to CC 2 Mobs on each pull if possible
This went through my head hundreds of times at the start of Cata. Everyone just forgot about CC and wanted to mass pull.
So many wipes in 5 mans just because each group had that one person that wanted to speed clear dungeons at the start of an exp. Fuck this was so aggravating. I remember levelling in Vanilla and BC. CC was just a standard way of life.
Late Wrath, that changed.
Thinking about all the fuck wits that pulled right as the dungeon pulled before people where ready really grinds my gears. Also makes me miss the times we were more patient and used CC. I remember when I tanked a 5 man Blackrock spire in Cata.
It felt so refreshing that my whole group was willing to take our time and make sure we' pulled and CCéd properly.
Felt so refreshing tanking a group that wasn't full of impatient twats who were still. anchored to late Wrath 5 men.
I want to try classic wow again but I'm not sure if I'm willing to play with this current generation.
And the way chat/politics/internet culture is now. Sigh

Some good progress on Jaina tonight (41% best pull), but god damn the first intermission/transition is impossible for some of our raiders. At least our decision to do one more re-clear this week paid off since we're pushing phase 1 REAL quick.

Community on private wow/tbc servers is pretty nice, a bit many tryhards that require you to get worldbuffs even for MC/BWL but that most likely won't be a big issue in actual Classic.

Balancing is still so freaking stupid in this game i hate it so much 
They just base increase things by a % or just nerf something by a base %. No thought to anything and it takes so long.
Shadowpriests are ridiculously broken right now and nope gotta let them continue lol. Now they think increasing BM hunter damage is needed why? MM hunters are doing very good and is out scaling BM, so the easiest spec in the game is not top damage anymore, better buff it? What....
The ability to run around or jump spam constantly and fire off your whole rotation should not be the top damage spec in the game it so silly lol.

We killed her yesterday ( I was benched but did one evening as a replacement ) and you really want to have your healers use the Jaina offhand if they can, especially the one doing the short side alone.
Overall, that transition is just really harsh and stupidly designed unless you have the offhand, gotta have a lot of patience. Reducing graphical options, using console command to turn off weather effects, there's a lot that can be done to help throught blizzard stupid ideas.

Started playing again after a few months off and want to play very casually now and no mythic raiding.
Leveled a new character. And then I realized I dont know how this game works outside of a guild and with crap equip. Seems awfully difficult to equip yourself or get groups for anything.
I dont even know how to find a guild. I know how to find a progress guild via wow-progress, that is easy. But how do I find some random casual guild?
Have to say my attempt to play casual has not been great so far.

Its a bigger time investment and you will have to accept that as a solo player the process will be inefficient. I played the first tier as a solo player because I got baited by friends, and didnt really have time to commit to good push grps. But then as usual the friends disappeared and they werent that good anyway.
I got tired of it so I joined a 2 day progress guild for this tier because my horde guild is pretty competitive on a 3 day schedule (Jaina 15-20 percent now I think) and I cant go back to that.
Its been quite convenient I basically did barely any progress, went on vacations, often have to fly out for work so I miss raid days and its all very chill in terms of expectation and the roster is healthy.. Its a very new but refreshing experience. I showed up for some farm clears and sitting at 411 Ilvl and pretty much 1 or 2 drops away from optimal trait azerite pieces. Compared to playing alone it was alot less rewarding.
More importantly avg standard of player is pretty good. Its just people who have families and such and cant commit to the game like they used to. 6/9 on a 2 day schedule isnt that bad especially since people here have alot of RL comittments and the comps arent always optima and sometimes even raid days get cancelled. But since no one is horny about progression its not a big deal.
In summary - you want atleast a core grp of 3-4 ideally 5 to play with (if no RL friends this is hard) or find a progress guild that raids little but has decent caliber of player. I dont know if my experience is unusual though because Ive only raided competitively before but I imagine there are plenty of guilds out there especially on EU that can work for you.
What you can do is look up guilds that dont progress raid alot but have people with good M+ scores on IO and see if you can find a fit there. Those guilds will usually have room for casuals aswell because they are more community oriented.

What a bizarre balance rant. The normal complaint that more changes are needed is ofc always reasonable. But complaining about nerfs to the best spec and slight buffs to the worst spec in the current tier? Isn’t that exactly what they are supposed to do? Lol
(FWIW with a 5-6% buff bm still significantly worse than MM and still a very low tier spec overall which is generally considered justified for all the obv reasons you mention. Although your rant comes across very strangely. If you are fine obviously with bm being trash since hunters can go Mm by same logic locks can just go destro which is a top fucking tier spec.)

Reminds me of Preach's video where he did a fresh account solo experience. Basically the huge time inefficiency is what makes it horrible.

Only got to raid an hour and half because alot of people had family comitments, in about 10-15 pulls got a couple of 10-15 percents. Honestly its the most fun fight in the dungeon so far. And the fights have generally been really good.

to be fair, demo is so far above every other spec i fully expected a nerf, but this should put them middle of the pack instead of 6k above the 2nd highest lmao.
and either way they have aff/destro which are both top tier specs in this raid. just not as blatantly broken.
Even at a 33%ish nerf on explosive potential its still a trait that 3 of is better than 6 for any other spec so its still busted as fuck, will end up replaced/removed next patch or sooner id wager

Warlocks have been the best ranged class in the game since Nighthold with no breaks right now, it's hard to feel bad for them.They'll be fine, they don't need Demo and a trait that got forgotten by the balance team anyway.
