I think the scaling is a bit off at 40-60, stuff suddenly becomes quite hard to kill at 40+ and then gets way harder up to 60. When you go to outland/northrend content you're doing more damage and the health of all of the mobs actually drops again (e.g. from 250k boss HP to 170k)

Also i can battle cry the Light's Judgement :')

I dont get why they frequently have so much trouble with this. There is noone more experienced with numbers scaling in gaming than Blizzard. They have mathematicians working for them I heard. And then there are mistakes in the game an intern with a pocket calculator could correct in a few seconds.

Ok so played 13 hours friday night and saturday with my mate farming leveling. Got from 20-62...wow its nuts lol, takes so long. Dungeon spam is ok if you get a group where tank heal and 2dps can do dps if you dont you in trouble.

Still im "semi enjoying it" but its a big big grind!

Oh we are double monk leveling with full heirlooms so the mobs and questing is extremely easy mobs melt. Pull as many mobs as we can, pop earth storm fire thing and press fist of fury and everything dies insta.

Yeah, it's odd to see some of those numbers. Fixes probably inc, they just weren't as obvious as some of the other problems

Was gonna queue into ZF at level 60 to compare health numbers first hand vs expansion content, decided not to, accidentally did it anyway lol

first boss had 300k HP, hydra had 406k and this happened on overall dmg:

just deleting however many elites happen to be around within 3-5 globals, the full Fury(tm) experience

Blood furnace eyeball boss had 116k HP at level 61, so uh, 3 - 4x less health than the classic bosses did! I'm sure that 40-60 on classic was really screwy now, level 39 and 61 played fine.

Bosses HP wont be fixed until Cata usually. Also Battlecry makes every ability 100% crit passives etc included idk why that would be shocking.

As such its almost always been a complaint about BC/Wrath bosses having too little hp, i think you could probably quickly run every dungeon with 3 people and come out with pretty good xp imo

It has a lot of implications that people rarely talk about outside of their own class communities if at all

Have you played them since the rework? I'd say that vanilla has too much hp and damage (400k) while wrath is pretty fine (250k) and TBC is on the low side (110k). Kill times range from about 20 seconds (TBC, high dmg group) to over 3 minutes (vanilla with sucky group)

Having all of these different health and damage values at the exact same level and seemingly the same exp reward is really odd.

Yeah, 110k or 250k is a big difference for that. People were still doing around 1k in my groups ST

There were some class adjustments today, slight buff to fire (bugfix compensation, no dps gain) and bm (bit of a buff, slightly more worth t21) plus some healing reductions and DPS nerfs for affliction. They lost around 1.5% on ST and 4% on Coven from what i can tell.

That sucks, i was really hoping to get to play a Zandalari paladin ever since i heard we would get to play as the Zandalari

Yeah i too was secretly hoping for Zandalari paladin. Oh well all my chars i play are; Druid Warrior Mage Shaman Priest Pala & Monk. So all but Pala and Monk going to be Zandalari and the monk is already high mountain tauren so ill just make my pala high mountain tauren too i guess xD

Idk, seems like you're confusing Zandalari with trolls like the Darkspear. Zandalari do not have a voodoo/witchcraft theme, their theme is based on the Aztec empire and the associated culture.
Zandalari are all about zealous fervor and are a highly spiritual and religious people who live within a caste system(Also the most religious trolls by far). They're completely different from the other troll tribes and they value scholars and priesthood, they most definitely follow strict rules and order. Again, Zandalari paladins have been established since vanilla as their Freethinkers(what they call their paladin equivalent) were the first to lead the fight against Hakkar and the Gurubashi way way back when that clash began originally.

Zandalari paladins definitely make a thousand times more sense than Tauren paladins ever did.

Yeah maybe I think too much of other trolls. Although I would also associate the Aztecs with blood rituals etc, paladins seem like something "western". Also free thinkers and paladins seems contradictory to me.

Though tbf blood elf paladins might be less fitting anyway.

In WoW paladins are essentially just warriors that use the Light, through paladin quests we've gotten confirmation that any priest could essentially take up arms and become a paladin (In fact night elf paladins exist because of this).

In reality any race that can wield the power of the Light as a priest should be able to be a Paladin. (Though the dumbest class/race combination is still forsaken being able to wield holy powers as priests since wielding holy powers is the same as torture to the forsaken)

The Legion raids are fun. Only have been working my way through mostly lfr and normal but I actually got the "fun" feeling I got from raiding back in the day when I played. Learning then mastering positioning and mechanics is good stuff. Maybe I will try to get into a guild this expac.

Did some allied race leveling. Was actually quite fun to rediscover the old continents for a bit.

For example I had actually never quested through Darkshore. And that area had like 120 quests and took me from 20 to 32. It is actually quite amazing how much questing content Blizz created with Cataclysm, and much of it was never looked at simply because leveling was so fast.

Although even now it seems quite fast to me, I will probably only visit 4 areas before I hit 60. Tbf that is with heirlooms.

Alpha is live now. I somehow got lucky enough to get into it. If anyone has special requests for the classes I play (rogue - any spec, Monk - Brm/MW only) I can look at it. Keep in mind most things will change but can give insight if people ask!
