I'm not sure how I feel about these legendaries.
I guess I'm conflicted, if its super low, random or whatever, that's fine. But, they said you'd be able to choose a legendary or something that helps you get the legendary you want. I understand they don't want you to be farm for ages and get a legendary you don't want, but that kind makes it seem you'll be able to cheese to farm it somehow.
Which means, you might be expected to! And some of the legendarys are just super crazy. Like actually having an extra talent, crazy.

Yeah they are so crazy that either everyone will be able to get them fairly easily or they will be toned down in power a lot (I assume the later). Blizzard has not been willing to give away RNG drop legendaries in raids since TBC. I dont expect them to start again now.

I think these are completely different than those legendaries tho.
It feels like they're just insane abilities like those interesting vanilla items , they're just assigned to the legendary rarity.
Well, with the main distinction is that they're super high ilvl and are supposed to be high value the entire expansion.

Wait, are those supposed to be random BoP world drops? That sounds like the worst idea ever, especially with how insanely strong those items appear to be.

Yeah. Their goal is to make those vanilla world drops with those cool effects be powerful legendaries world drops in Legion.

That's awesome. I miss the days of truly exciting drops. Everything has come to be so streamlined, predictable and simple in WoW. I'd love for WoW to get back to the point where drops are exciting. Does no one remember how fun it was to hope to one day have some item? Spending months trying to get it, but also working on more realistic goals in the mean time.

If it's completely RNG, BoP world drops there really is nothing you can do but cross your fingers which is pretty silly. If they are somewhat reasonable to obtain, every serious player will be forced into grinding for them since they are absolutely broken (at least for now). I don't see how they can find a middle ground that avoids either of those. Plus, if those items do change your performance as much as Blizzard intends, it will be incredibly annoying during progression if your guild gets unlucky while levelling of all things.

Done with this timewalker event, did 100 of them. I guess avg a bit under 4 bosses per dungeon with 5 players there - so ~1900 failed mount loot rolls in a row for those party members :D

And like what other people's concerns are, power disparity. I mean just look at the crazy shit those legendaries do. It's essentially like a talent that you might have out of 1000 people.
And ultimately that would suck if you spent way more time and effort on your character, and some other guy has more power just because he got lucky.

The thing is that if it's super low and they're actually good, you could lost a raid spot or something just because RNGesus doesn't love you as much as he loves someone else, and that shit feels awful
Also I don't like the idea of having multiple gear slots where you get an item early in the expansion and just never replace it, it makes gear progression less meaningful

Well to be fair, right now gear progression is too meaningful. DPS shouldn't increase 5-6 times over two tiers

Yea, gear progression is completely out of whack. You start the expansion doing 5man heroics and bursting up to..what 20k? 30k? dps on those bosses. Just did my daily heroic, the warrior "tank" played fury, geared up to the balls and bursted bosses for 180k dps. I get up to 30k as a healer even. With lust on the last boss of the heroic, our party dps for a 5man was almost 350k...

We need a bridge which i thought was good with the original badge system. Grind heroics still 6 months into an expansion to get the latest epics from the vendor. But tier gear is only from the raiding scene etc. You literally do heroics to max out blue gear before first raid and that is it. After that u never have to touch a heroic again which is wrong.
They need to address the gear system or at least address the way you get the gear or things and places become pointless and stale fast. Personally i have nothing against grinding dungeons for valor/badges to buy gear upgrades with. They could even add in different ways to get said badges like in MoP. You get badges either farm dungeons or farm dailies / world content. I think that would be the best way to keep things current.
Or you have to release "new" dungeons or "buff" them after every new patch comes which i don't think is the right option.

Anyone gone onto wowhead/mmo champ to fiddle with the talent calculators? I'm liking the Hunter and Druid stuff so far.

I mostly like what I see for Fury, but overall there are more questions than answers at the moment.

Yeah, it seems to really just be too early to judge. It's funny to see how early on we try to theorize. We just can't resist ;_;

Especially since Artifact weapons have 3 marquee abilities and a bunch of potentially game-changing passives, few of which we actually know anything about. A lot of specs are probably going to change considerably as they gain access to those abilities.

you use the term "probably" the same way I see it used in physical science research: 99.99% confidence.
