I agree. But if they take into account what happened when the Patriots lost to Denver, IN Denver, then the Broncos shouldn't be as heavily favored. I think the Patriots, healthy, will be back to the team that went 10-0 before everything went downhill.

only being able to pass the ball is a pretty big problem though. if the denver defense only has to worry about one facet of the game it will be hard for the patriots to score away from gillette

over/under for AFC = 44.5
for NFC = 47.5

The betting is heavily in favor of New England from what I heard. I'm surprised they are only favored by 3.

NE was always the favorite, and its been swinging between 3 and 3.5. Per a few online Vegas watchers sharps are hammering Denver whenever they can get the 3.5, so that's why its staying 3 most places.

Shelly had posted that 538 was favoring Denver. I'm not following the bookies, so I don't know the spreads on betting

the site I was looking at said 67% bets on NE so I was pretty surprised too

The % of bets doesn't mean much to casinos if one side is public (NE is in this game) and a bunch of small bets, whereas the other side is big money (and from what I have heard this is true with Denver) that will rain in once they get a half point. And then Vegas is in the unenviable position of a 3-Pt (the most common winning margin) NE victory losing them a bunch of big bets, while also pushing on all the bets that came in at 3.0.
