You have to understand that breaks in football action are carefully managed for advertisement insertion. The television viewing experience is being heavily monetized, but at the same, the viewing experience cannot be completely discombobulated.

eh it sucks but pi being unreviewable is the best way to deal with it. it is subjective unlike did this wr step out of bounds before catching the ball, etc.

If you actually believe that, you need to change them all to 5 yard, no first down, penalties. Because that is the best way to deal with terrible calls drastically turning games.

if that were the case, any play over 25 yds where it even remotely seems that the WR will get it the DB will be better served treating it like NFL Blitz than real football. Pi will increase by a shitload. teams will be coached to take that slap on the wrist every single time
did the ball cross the plane, did the wr go out, was his knee down = all yes/no scenarios. what is pi to one ref isn't to another, hence the problem

Yes, that is the problem, the problem with the rule and the problem with NFL training. There is no reason there should not be a master PI guy in NY to harmonize such calls.

oh yeah I agree the calls on that need to be more consistent across the board. Just very much disagree about challenges for PI or other judgement things like holding etc

Last four weeks have been a dream as a Panthers fan. Everyone thought the team was a joke at 4-0... i'm sure there are still some naysayers. Looking at the rest of Carolina's schedule, it's hard to see anything less than 12-4 barring some major injury or chemistry implosion. All of this without Kelvin Benjamin. Wow.
