GIGACON - 10 000$ Tournament - Oslo, 2-5 Oct

hewo Norway119 Posts September 24 2014 19:01 GMT #1 We are happy to present the GIGACON 2014 Starcraft 2 tournament, featuring 8 invited players, an open bracket qualifier, and a whooping 65 000 NOK prizepool! (~10.000$) Gigacon is a new Norwegian Gaming expo/con, combined with a LAN party and several eSports tournaments. It event is held in Telenor Arena, in Oslo, 2.-5. October. The tournament itself will be held 3.-4. October. There will be an open BYOC qualifier, out of which 16 players will advance into the tournament itself. Here, they can eventually end up faceing up against our 8 invites, and fight for their share of the pricepool. Prize Distribution 1. 25 000 NOK 2. 15 000 NOK 3./4. 6 500 NOK 5.-8. 3 000 NOK The arena features a dedicated StarCraft 2 scene and a Pro-gamer lounge. This is the biggest offline tournament Norway has ever seen, and we hope and plan on making this a tradition and a launch pad for future tournaments in Norway. Eladamri Norway7 Posts September 25 2014 11:30 GMT #2 Seems like this event hasn't been advertised too much yet... Which it should, taking into consideration the relatively nice prize pool and apparent event size. A Liquipedia entry might be a good start.. As well as some HYPE of course!
