maybe you have "multiple possible results to an election" because there is no difference at all who wins? he/she will do the same under US dictatorship
we have Putin vs some fascist guys, american lovers, european lovers etc.
of course Putin wins vs them, lol
And you apparently don't know what the word dictatorship means, you also have no idea about Germany and if you look up the definition of fascism you'll see that it fits Putin quite well. could you make more detailed explanation how Putin fits on the definition of fascism i really like to read it fas·cism (făsh′ĭz′əm) n. 1. often Fascism a. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism. b. A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government. 2. Oppressive, dictatorial control. Sounds familiar? a. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism. doesn't fits at all we have over 150 nationalities in Russia and minorities even have some advantages vs majorities also we have too much of oppositions - i read/hear a lot of "Putin is a dick" every day, even on TV i doubt you have this kind of wording about Merkel Well Merkel has no dick... I've actually heard a comedian make a shockingly convincing case for the opposite already. Then again there are pictures of her naked so I guess she really doesn't.

Syria's regime was corrupted, favorised an elite and worse different etnicities. Now if the US had interest in starting a revolution which goal is to have a liberal friendly (West friendly) and democratic (the goal of the protesters) regime. There are no moral nor logical reasons for Russia preventing it, it just acted in fascist and Cold War like fashion without any regards for human beings and even if the US had interests, their action would have helped the population of Syria. You can hate the US all you want and you seem to have a problem with things US related but you shouldn't become the advocate of wars just because of it. You need to stop using word "fascist" when you have no idea about its meaning. Everything in politics has logical reasons, learn it. You just can have no idea about their logic, that's all. Don't talk to me like I'm dumb, I choose my words. I can give you the definition again, facism is an extremely authoritarian political attitude that involves populism and ultranationalism. It was first theorized by Mussolini. Putin uses propaganda, media control and has been in power for more than 15 yrs. He uses the national sentiment well and imposes his views unilateraly to other nations with force. He has everything that defines a fascist dictator which include refusing the global order, in his case it's the West. Not everything in Politics is well thought, you don't have to put politicians on piedestals. Well I should have worded it better with the reasons for blocking the intervention in Syria were not moral nor intelligent. Imo Russia blocking UN intervention in Syria was stupid, the only thing Putin gained is some kind of fear / respect from other countries and the feeling that the world can't do anything without Russia. It just tends to worsen the relations between Russia and other nations, and Russia won't have an ally in Assad because the regime will eventually fall, Russia will only gain the hatred of the islamists that may come in power later. Even if Putin now know it was a stupid decision which he must do, he has to go along with it to maintain Russia's position and facade (which is normal in politics).
Russia is gaining hatred of the islamists no matter what, there is nothing new :D This story is too long.
Every country leader uses propaganda sometimes, for example when elections happen. You want to say something against it? And same stuff happen with media control. For example, Real Madrid has Marca and Barcelona has AS. You will never read something good about Real in AS and same stuff happens about Barca in Marca. That's not new either. Now next. You won't be punished for being in opposition, writing anti-Putin articles or something like that. There are objective reasons why TVRain, which was created by president Medvedev was pushed from being free in every internet-network in country and now you can purchase subscription easily and watch it. There was almost no politics, it was pure economical reason.
And finally. Russia is multicultural country. Nationalism here is punished. It was punished. It is and it will be. Yes, sometimes we butthurt about amount of illegal immigrants. But no more. End of the story.
Some countries have kings who are ruling the country for ages. Are they faschists as well because they have power? I highly doubt as well. Of course i speak about kings who have power and not someone like UK Queen.
And finally. Refusing the global order? Wut? You really think that Russia is so fucking weak and useless that will follow everything what USA/Europe will say?
PaleMan, btw, chill. You really going ham so hard that people think that all Russians are retards. Go play dota a bit, dude.

See, there once was a time when two superpowers divided germany. One of them is bad, the other one is WAY worse. One country leeched the crap out of their part of germany, the other one tried to rebuild it. Not out of kindness of their heart, obviously, but that doesn't matter.
What you don't realise, or actually, i think, what you can't comprehend, is that we still pay for the damage russia did. America has bases in germany because they're allowed to, we kinda owe them alot.
Only an absolute retarded nutjob of an idiot would call it "occupation", especially after they got revoked their "special rights" etc.
Stop talking about things you have absolutely zero clue of. And it shows, that that would be alot of things.

i'd say the problem aren't even the troups but the fucking US nuclear weapons of which we don't know where they are and how much of them. also secret CIA prisons, NSA classifying germany as target, etc. i'm baffled there are germans that think we aren't close to being occupied (though it's not violent). especially after snowden showed evidence that we ARE still occupied.
and all of this doesn't make him a "moron". i think it's disgusting that the people here are so fucking close minded (both sides) that they have to attack every different opinion personally.

I actually think we gain a lot more from the bases than the US does, from an economic and military point of view, compared to their other expenses it's really just a drop in the ocean for the States though.

I just wrote that his employer just should pay 50% off his money, since it's not that far off anyway, but didn't deem it worth it.
Somebody who tells me "we're still occupied" is kinda not someone who i would argue with, it's like arguing with antifas or rightwing-nutjobs, completely pointless.
