(So it's USA, Canada and UK now.)
+ Show Spoiler [for zeo] +I didn't say TeamLiquid, I said here. I meant at EuroMaidan. It's funny that you think saying "X sucks Hitler's cock' is ok as long as it's not directed towards another person on TeamLiquid. Even though Cheerio and others in this thread are both posters and were at EuroMaidan. Here's your post quoted: On February 21 2014 00:15 zeo wrote:Show nested quote +On February 20 2014 22:07 Ghanburighan wrote:On February 20 2014 21:58 Sokrates wrote:On February 20 2014 21:39 Saryph wrote:On February 20 2014 21:35 BlackCompany wrote:On February 20 2014 21:31 Sent. wrote: I can't belive they're using live ammunition. I hope it won't turn into another Syria or Russian intervention. Whats even more shocking to me is that they even shoot people trying to help the wounded. I can understand if the police shoots at poeple who are about to throws molotows at them ( of course they shouldnt use live ammunition but if they have nothing else its understandable that they try to save their lives aswell) but i dont know how you can shoot people trying to help.. Earlier in this thread there were photos of the police throwing molotov cocktails at protesters. It's horrible that they're shooting at medics, unarmed protesters, and those trying to help the wounded, but not really surprising to me anymore. There is a reason they're trying to remove these horrible people from power. And a reason Putin is supporting the government. Well the protesters arent very civil either, there are two sides of the coin. It is a bit more diverse than you might think. That said literally nothing except insinuating bad things about the protesters. Sigh, barely any people left on the street support Ukraine going into the EU, all of them are ether hard nationalists who long for the time when their grandparents sucked Hitlers cock during the war, even harder nazi's imported from Lviv to destroy things in Kiev, Che Guevara wannabees, hooligans and all around filth of Ukrainian society. These are not 'helpless people', helpless people do not kill 15 police officers in full riot gear with bullet proof vests and shields. Paramilitary organizations arming themselves with guns and bombs are within the 'protesters' and that is why the police have live rounds, that is why people are dieing. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/gkBAUtP.jpg) ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/KTIgnrV.jpg) ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/b4Nvh8s.jpg) They are holding the country hostage. Normal people in Ukraine want them out and its the duty of the government to protect the people from these bandits whose only purpose in life is to vandalize and to destroy the property of the people of Ukraine. Is the government doing a good job? No. Is sending people to die and bringing ruin to your country even though elections are 12 months away? For fucks sake, get these animals off the street. The people of Sevastopol are already saying they will exit Ukraine if the bandits on the street take power. No one in their right mind would want to live in the desolation Ukraine will become if the bandits take over

US, Canada and France pulled out of upcoming G8 meeting. That's at least something I guess.
Today the most important tv channel in Russia (1. channel - "Pervyj Kanal") reported about "more than 140k Ukrainians fleeing their country" and entering Russia at its western boarder. The clip they've been using was identified as being filmed at the western boarder of Ukraine, the cars and people shown are actually going to Poland.

LOL Ghanburighan, nowhere in that post did I say everyone on Team Liquid was sucking Hitlers cock. For those without reading deficiencies it clearly says hard nationalists who of course see nazi collaborators as heroes.
Please stop, its getting sad.

Are there any Russian equivalent that shows a Russian point of view?

Yes, the right-wing Ukrainians might be crazy nationalists, I heard some of those live in Serbia, too. But this is not the time to brush up the old Soviet rhetoric, we live in the 21st century.
The Chinese might be correct in that some westerners still have a cold war mentality, but it seems that's actually a quite modern view compared to others ...

On a different topic:
Great summary of the Pessimist's outlook shared by a great many people near Russia.

I read that "Russia" (the regime) is "fearing for the safety of their own people"...... yet Russia is the one threatening Ukraine with a large army on Ukraine's territory.
What a sack of lovely bullshit! I wonder how this will develop. I just hope Ukraine will get a chance to be free from the chains of Russia.

Yes when did CNN show people going from Country A to Country B but said they were actually going to Country C or anything like that in order to provide propaganda fodder for the US or any other government?

Obama has no balls once again. Kerry has to do his job, lol.
|
The thing is that Crimea is so much more important for Russia than staying in G8 or whatever minor things like that.

At the very least, what Kerry said could have been said by Obama. It seems like Obama just dodges.

I agree, Kerry is the FM, he is supposed to take the lead, as long as Obama demonstrates that he has his back. Think back on Powell or Albright, both were the main faces responding to crises.
