QuanticHawk United States32113 Posts March 05 2014 19:20 GMT #2323 that stlouis trade owns owns owns callahan is a badass, but overrated as hell offesnively. he wasnt worth close to what he was asking, which was rumored to have started at 8/7.5$ lmao i am 100% cool with giving him. the trade is basically a 1st and conditional 2nd, which becomes a first if the Rangers get to the ECF. Cally resigning in Tampa gets the Rangers a 2nd. Considering the Rangers are a playoff team this year and next, that's pretty much a 2nd and a 3rd for a dude who is still one of the elite wingers in the league. he's miles better than cally. Im fine with giving up picks. based on the age of hank, nash, girardi, st louis, etc, and some of the upcoming rfas, this team has about 2-4 years to win before it is time to reload. I also thing LA got a great deal in gabby. UFA, low cost, good chance for him to rebound from injury on a good team. Hemsky was another great low cost trade, but I still think the Sens D kinda sucks, and they resigned phillips, who is a turd

I just think it was silly because Stewart has more value to that org than Ott, and the difference from Halak to Miller doesn't make up enough
