People severely underestimate how many people on ladder have a few stock, solid builds that they execute without really using their brains. Stands to reason that stuff like this could work | ||

First time I encountered this build was when I was in silver league. Dude walled-in pretty quick leaving my no chance of scouting and for me this is first sign of cheeky play. I just simply put an SCV on his natural and a marine on xel'naga tower. When he left his base I had way enough time to build bunkers and defend that cheesy all-in. He obviously tried his backup plan teching up to stim and medivacs but before ge managed to do that he lost miserably. Since then I have been marine all-ined many times and easy repelled these shenanigans. So again how is it even possible to get to masters with such well known strategy? Also, most protosses in higher leagues if not all, move out with a zealot and a stalker and a MSC to check if an opponent expanded and if he did not build a bunker to punish him badly. That is enough to collect information about what is coming and prepare the defense. With nexus cannon and a bunch of zealots with stalkers it is easy peasy to stop that all-in. | ||

10 supply 12 rax 15 oc 16 marine 17 cc 17marine 18 scv 19 scv Then when you are supply capped at 19, save up 600 mins and drop 4 more rax for a total of 5. Then drop another depot as your expo is finishing up, and keep building depots with this scv. Once your oc's and rax are done, just pump marines and mule while throwing in scvs. vP this build will pretty much kill any expo build they do or even stop oracles or 4 gates. bring an scv to bunker the nat if you want. vT this build can kill any expo as well, esp if you bring some scvs for bunkers. vZ sometimes you just straight up kill them and they gg lol Best of all, its not compeltely all in because you will have an expo AND the ability to be offensive or defensive if need be. From here just drop as many gases as you think you need and start teching up into bio play. PS: if you squeeze in a scout ( up to you) and see some early pressure coming, build another marine or two instad of scvs on your way up to 19/19. 2-4 marines is enough to stop any early pressure even without a bunker if you micro right. building your expo on the low ground + a small amt of marines will signal to your opponent that you are definately not rushing(but then you do) so remember to hide the extra rax and marines until you move out(usually at 12 marines). | ||
