I don't even believe this will get you to masters. Anyone who is in diamond with half a brain should at least be able to scout that you have not expanded and will react accordingly. Terrans will make tanks/hellions/mines, Zerg will make ling/bling/spines/queens, and protoss will stop it with forcefield and nexus cannon. You will probably have a win-loss of 2-10 and regret ever trying out this dumb build.

Maybe you can get to plat with this, but masters? Sorry but........ nah.

Yeah, sounds like a straight lie. Unless NA masters is really much lower than EU's (I don't think so). I'd just ovie scout at 5 min and either see a crapload of rax or get my ovy shot by too many marines.

People severely underestimate how many people on ladder have a few stock, solid builds that they execute without really using their brains. Stands to reason that stuff like this could work

This is well known strategy and I dont believe that by doing this you can get to masters. So many people did this and there has been quite a few posts about gasless marine all-in on TL forum that the community is well prepared for this. To name one - FilterSC (correct me if im wrong).

First time I encountered this build was when I was in silver league. Dude walled-in pretty quick leaving my no chance of scouting and for me this is first sign of cheeky play. I just simply put an SCV on his natural and a marine on xel'naga tower. When he left his base I had way enough time to build bunkers and defend that cheesy all-in. He obviously tried his backup plan teching up to stim and medivacs but before ge managed to do that he lost miserably.

Since then I have been marine all-ined many times and easy repelled these shenanigans. So again how is it even possible to get to masters with such well known strategy?

Also, most protosses in higher leagues if not all, move out with a zealot and a stalker and a MSC to check if an opponent expanded and if he did not build a bunker to punish him badly. That is enough to collect information about what is coming and prepare the defense. With nexus cannon and a bunch of zealots with stalkers it is easy peasy to stop that all-in.

Of couse it can get you to masters, many people in diamond play in autopilot assuming you're gonna play standard and/or don't know the response to these builds that are not used much at all.
Gz dude you got a light blue portrait and you're still terrible, you also just made a guide for a build TLO did in the beta I believe or early WoL.

Why are so many players angry he contributed a guide? Sure, he got to masters, and it is a cheesy all-in build but at least he got a pretty flawless execution of it and shared it with us. Or are many players angry that it reinforces the notion that T/Marines is easy to play?

Props to you OP, I don't use marine all-in in my builds but I'll look at your timings and see if I can learn from it

That and if you check his post history, all of his posts has been a way of trolling people about marine balance talk. He just got 'smarter' lately and instead of directly talking about marine being imba, now he's posting 'guides' (with build order from other guides...) to flamebait.

Level of anger at the OP is amusing. Clearly the point is to demonstrate the incredible cost-efficiency and ease of execution of early marine rushes (although the topic has been done to death since WoL).

6 pool and cannon rush are both more effective than this build, and lots of Protoss have managed masters and even GM with only cannon rush. 2 rax proxy actually requires more skill and is a much better Terran rush build, as well as having a viable transition, but Terran rushes are much weaker than Zerg or Protoss rushes, that's a fact. Cheese is cheese , but some cheeses are better than others.

I got a much better build than this one:

10 supply
12 rax
15 oc
16 marine
17 cc
17marine
18 scv
19 scv

Then when you are supply capped at 19, save up 600 mins and drop 4 more rax for a total of 5.

Then drop another depot as your expo is finishing up, and keep building depots with this scv.

Once your oc's and rax are done, just pump marines and mule while throwing in scvs.

vP this build will pretty much kill any expo build they do or even stop oracles or 4 gates. bring an scv to bunker the nat if you want.

vT this build can kill any expo as well, esp if you bring some scvs for bunkers.

vZ sometimes you just straight up kill them and they gg lol

Best of all, its not compeltely all in because you will have an expo AND the ability to be offensive or defensive if need be. From here just drop as many gases as you think you need and start teching up into bio play.

PS: if you squeeze in a scout ( up to you) and see some early pressure coming, build another marine or two instad of scvs on your way up to 19/19. 2-4 marines is enough to stop any early pressure even without a bunker if you micro right. building your expo on the low ground + a small amt of marines will signal to your opponent that you are definately not rushing(but then you do) so remember to hide the extra rax and marines until you move out(usually at 12 marines).

I made master with proxy gateway all maps all races, vetoed the worst ones, i don't have very good micro either. What would be impressive is if you got grandmaster with 1 build all races all maps.
