I don't see all in-thread tweets, since I had to disable some stuff or else TL just crashes. I'm surprised pence was willing to do that; Pence seems to have had a policy of staying out of the news as much as possible. Oh sorry about the tweets not showing up for you, i'll summarize: WSJ: Vice President Pence's decision to leave the Colts game furthers the feud between the White House and the NFL http://on.wsj.com/2fWmArU Peter Alexander (NBC National Correspondent): FLAG: Was Pence leaving Colts game a political stunt? Reporters were told to stay in van bc "there may be an early departure from the game." So it comes across as planned out, so a counter-protest of sorts by the administration, which made me wonder how much we as taxpayers are paying for this publicity stunt. Edit: Also, who thought this was a good idea with all the stories about wasted taxpayer money due to chartered flights?

I think the taxpayer waste topic won't come up; the flag/racial stuff overrides it. noone's gonna pay attention to the waste angle. at least not enough people to matter. politically, the trump base eats up nonsense actions like that. So I expect they won't suffer politically for it.

Using government resources to divide the country even further. This is actually the only job they're doing rather well. Although one could argue that these conflicts were brewing for years and years and are now being catalyzed and hopefully brought to a conclusion that befits society.

"A C32 (AF2) costs $42,936/hour. Pence flew 2.5 hours from Vegas to Indianapolis and then flew back to LA" Then security costs, etc etc.

The VP flew to a game with the sole purpose of making headlines by walking out on an inevitable protest. Talk about artificially creating division.

And not sure why it was worth posting here. Also I guess the mod note on top of the thread is really meaningless nowadays.

The fact he reused a picture from 2014 for a tweet about the game today reinforced the fact that this was a planned publicity stunt to continue Trumps war on the NFL.
