Threatening now? Is the parallel to Nixon's tapes completely lost on him or is he really playing 8d chess by bringing them up on purpose (answer: no, he is that stupid).

LOL what if comey had a wire on him during the dinner. This guy is a complete disgrace

Just noticed that on Trumps twitter banner/top is a picture of a bunch of white guys with one guy forming a finger pistol instead of a thumbs up(right side). Who are these two(shooter/victim)?

There really needs to be consequences for this whole episode. We're beyond the point where there are even flimsy excuses for trump here.

The only consequences for this kind of action is from the voters and many of those who voted for him are quite satisfied with his performance to date. To them this is all just a bunch of overblown media hype around every single misstatement. to their credit alot of it is, but its had the effect that now when press secretaries hide in bushes and everyone has a different story, they just dont care anymore. They are tired of hearing about the Russia investigation, and tired of hearing reporting on every single thing Trump does wrong (of which there are many).

I think you're being a little pessimistic. You're essentially saying that there will be an enduring public mandate for Trump to desecrate the country and civilization itself. Far from all Trump supporters are hardcore and incapable of being swayed, many of them had legitimate grievances with Clinton or were/are facing problems in their life they really thought he was going to help them with. This is a war of attrition but I really think that Trump is losing.

Its crazy to see Trump openly threaten Comey on twitter, then for people to turn around and say "it is totally fine for this man to be president, despite his flaws"

He had everything to gain from walking away and going on the next topic, but now he has to tweet storm some stupid parting shots at Comey to make the situation first and invite a whole new round of condemnations. Fresh provocations are just going to work to disunite the building unity behind Republicans to resist the Democrat bluster.

The part where he admitted the firing was because of the Russia investigation wasn't too good either.

Trump seems especially unhinged on Twitter today. Lots of the important stories have dropped on Friday in the past year, I wonder if there's something coming today.

This librarian is Google, is worth billions and is directly profiting off the photo someone stole. If we are going to go through shitty analogies, pawn shops should be able to profit from stolen goods as long as they create a system that assure they don’t know the goods are stolen. You constantly fail to address the points that Google is just showing us what exists elsewhere. Imagine the following situation: someone posted those images on physical billboards, in public space. A company has a service that allows you to get instant views of any public location, let's say using a super satellite imaging. Should such company be forced to block those billboards from the stream? Even though you could just walk there and see them with your eyes? Because that's what Google is doing in search - it just shows you a web where you could go anyway and see the content yourself. In short, as I already said, you advocate for censorship or reality. And that is wrong. Its not about google, P6 used it as a loose example and it led people to the wrong conclusions. the issue isn't google so much as origanizations who purposely use the freedom from liability to host content that would otherwise be illegal. That's a valid point. Then again, the problem of ascertaining real identity over the internet is not a feasible one to be solved. Reddit doesn't ask for your identity, because they know identity is meaningless. If you're not interested in hiding it, your IP address is sufficient. If you are interested in hiding it, the barriers to assuring you were actually who you say you are would break the internet as we know it. Especially as P6 seems to think Reddit and TeamLiquid are different in any significant manner. If all the Reddit trolls came to TL and posted their illegal content here instead of there, how would TL be any different? They could, and would, ban the users and take the content down, which I think Reddit does too. Beyond that, what do you advocate? That Reddit be responsible for what trolls do? It's like making the paper company responsible for what someone wrote on their paper. I differences between publicly owned websites/services like reddit and private sites like TL. TL actively controls this site, moderates it and decides what content they will cover and allow. Reddit is larger, publically owned and crowd sources that moderation with little oversight. As sites like reddit and Facebook grow in reach and scope, I think it’s time to differentiate between them and smaller sites. The mom and pop shops of the internet should be viewed differently from the Wal-Mart’s of the internet. And I think we, as private citizens, should have a greater ability to hold them accountable for what is on their site if they are negligent in what they allow up there.
Both Reddit and Facebook are privately owned. Sure, Facebook is a publicly traded company, and Reddit's parent company is too. But that just means it's the shareholders who decide how the sites get moderated (or rather, it's the shareholders who decide on the board of directors, who actually run the company), as opposed to Nazgul (or aXiomatic), and from him, the mods. The only real remaining difference between TL and those two is one of scale (my estimate would be that the TL community forum is worth a few tens of thousands of dollars, whereas Reddit and Facebook are billion-dollar brands). That difference is an important one, but how exactly do you differentiate between the Reddits and the TeamLiquids? Number of users doesn't seem to be sufficient: plenty of despiccable subreddits have far worse content, and far fewer users than TL. And there are a LOT worse corners of the internet than Reddit or even 4chan.

Is there a legitimate cause for impeachment proceedings to begin yet? Or are we waiting for something bigger than what has surfaced thus far?

What I think you might be missing is that this is mostly the case for those that are in the political know and watch the news and stay up to date on current events. There are millions of people who just don't care about the details, or his tweet storms, and see this as a president "draining the swamp". its not pessimism, I've heard dozens of interviews on NPR during their indivisible series covering the first 100 days of Trump, and so many of his supporters just have a completely different worldview of what you find here on TL. To coin a phrase i heard on the radio earlier today "This is a DC story, this is not a Kansas story."
That's why i think the ultimate fallout from the AHCA will be much more damaging to trump and the GOP than any of these tweets, firings, and misinformation ever could be.

As I understand, in terms of what is public at this point, there is not enough. However, I won't be surprised if Trump's response to the inquiry ends up being what does him in.

Which is why he won't cancel Press Briefings otherwise his one outlet will go away and the Press will focus all negatively on him and more leaks.

The fact that Trump has openly admitted his reasons for the firing had to do with Comey's testimony regarding the Russia investigation is significant cause for concern. But ultimately there can only be impeachment if Republicans' constituents support it. At present they seem intent on following Trump wherever he may lead them.

I don't see any specific felony that could be applied. but invoking amendment 25, kinda yes. the real question thoug his how low his poll numbers have to get; he's not yet toxic enough to be worth the severe political price the republicans would pay for ditching him.
