Not gonna lie, I don't think Trump was lying about this. I think Comey might have fucked up He even mentioned that Comey told him 3 times, specifically, detailed the 3 occassions. 1 during dinner, 2 by phone. He even admitted that he straight up asked Comey "would you tell me if I was under investigation". Either that is an elaborate self compromising lie, or he told the truth.
The White House is facing criticism for a possible security breach after it allowed a Russian news service photographer into the Oval Office to snap photos of President Donald Trump and a pair of top Russian officials.
While the administration downplayed the threat, a senior administration official acknowledged that the White House had been misled about the role of the Russian photographer, who was actually employed by a state-run news agency.
...
The chummy photos left some observers agog, particularly coming a day after the president fired FBI Director James Comey, who had been running the investigation into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russian officials.
The American media, however, never caught a glimpse of either Russian inside the White House. When the press pool was allowed into the Oval Office at the meeting's conclusion, both Lavrov and Kislyak were gone and, in a surprise, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was with Trump instead.
...
Hours after his meeting with Trump, Lavrov insisted that no evidence exists that Russian attempted to influence last year's election or hack the Democratic Party's email system. He also said the subject never came up during his Oval Office meeting.

Well, FBI sources close to Comey have contradicted Trump. Trump really does create his own reality as he goes. Consider that after the Comey firing he had all his people lying about the reason for it. His interview with NBC from today contradicted his letter to Comey as to the reason for the firing. Even if this is all relatively innocent and Trump is merely lying to protect his ego regarding media coverage of his presidency, he is in fact going about it in the dumbest way possible.

The thing is that they're not mutually incompatible, that Trump is telling the truth (or giving his account of what he believes happened) and that Comey never said anything like that. Trump is living in an alternate reality and he might truly believe that Comey said this even if Comey just tactfully declined to say anything. Remember when Trump claimed that Elijah Cummings had called him the greatest president ever? I think sort of the same thing is happening here. Comey is just not this stupid.
Also, to split hairs, Trump isn't under investigation, it's his campaign that's under investigation.
What a delusional nutcase. No wonder he thought he could give everyone health insurance with his super mega great secret plan.
Edit: The most generous interpretation is that he believes it *could be* 15 bucks a month instead of believing it actually is. For reference, if the entire U.S. population paid 15 bucks a month, we would have 58 billion dollars of the 3.2 TRILLION dollars of healthcare spending.
If Trump was in a TV show people would never watch it because it's too unrealistic. Republicans would talk about the liberal media's propaganda making them look bad.
I want studies on how many people in Netherlands and France didn't vote far right because of how bad they thought Trump looks.

Trump has been in TV shows. That's the sad thing.
If a TV show portrayed a republican president just half as obviously ridiculous as Trump that would be deemed liberal propaganda designed to make republicans look bad and criticized weekly for it.

Don't Republicans always talk about the liberal media's propaganda making them look bad?

Nixon started that tradition and it's been going strong since.

Yep. It's the hard part about reporting what they say.
