If I can't choose other, put me in the thesis camp.

The ship will sink but I'll still try to grab the wheel before I prepare for impact. Then comes the search for useful debris.

Well, I wouldn't declare good times and throw caution to the wind. Europe may have more sovereign defaults and that won't be fun. I don't see any big danger sings for an economic / financial crash in the US though.

So, what's the over/under on how long it takes the Israelis to bomb Iran?

If Israel thought it could launch a successful strike they would have already, thats why Natanyahu went full court press in the States the last two years to get a US led strike instead. I think they just continue what they've been doing before, assassinating individual scientists and hacking computers.

Pretty much. It's not like Israel really cares about its image anyway, and as such I can only interpret their lobbying for the U.S. to strike instead indicates that they really don't have the ability to do so, at least, not without a considerable amount of risk.

Thesis: This cycle has nothing to do with the capitalist system. A bubble has been manufactured by the Federal Reserve and Congress to rush us out of the previous bubble recession, which the Federal Reserve and Congress also manufactured to rush us out of the 2001 recession...

Krugman and Summers have been writing about this recently. That starting since the mid 80s the US has entered into a 'secular stagnation' where the natural state of the economy is a mild recession and that the only way to achieve 'full employment' is a series of bubbles.

This feels like a bit of a stretch. This is just suppose to be an initial deal from what I thought was happening. Some kind of freeze or deal on 20% uranium and setting up inspections in exchange for release of cash reserves. Then they would work on the rest of the sanctions and set specific limits on all enrichment going forward. I don't think that the the oil sanctions would be removed right now short of total surrender of Iran's entire enrichment ability.
What they likely came up with was some initial deal, plus a path forward where if Iran does X,Y,Z, then in 6 months to a year, the oil and banking sanctions can be removed.

"In return for the initial agreement, the US has agreed to provide $6 billion to $7 billion in sanctions relief, American officials said."
