There is some deep, substantial resentment going on in the white American working class. People laughed at me but i seriously think that #spiritcooking thing changed a few minds, especially among more religious minorities.

And they're gonna be completely wrong, because we have zero reason to think Bernie would have done better, and they're going to refuse to listen to that. So that'll be obnoxious. He would have been hammered for socialism and for being a hippie who supported dictators, but in contrast to Hillary fewer people would have such a strong visceral reaction to voting against him. I am quite sure he would have won. My argument to the contrary. I think it would have been enough.

Some of my American friends even decided to vote for Trump just to bring the idiocy in America (capital above people, possessions against rights, freedom against social responsibility) to a head, a great white pustulous head that is going to explode during his incumbency. After Trump is impeached America will be great again - but a post Hilary America would just be the same bloody stool it is today.

Of course Bernie would have fared better. Hillary has way too much political baggage. On top of that, Bernie had momentum.

Electing such a bigoted, hateful individual to the presidential office isn't something normal. This isn't just another hand-off of the reigns of power from D->R or vis versa. Well...we did elect Nixon. Just saying.

So for the second time in two decades, the democrats lose the white house while winning a majority of the country's votes. Very likely.
