I really prefer more Americanized ones, like Korean-Americans. It's like an entirely different group of its own, as mentally and culturally, they are different from both Koreans and "Americans". ;o

* Streets are extremely clean compared to Korea

* Academies are run more professionally
* Night entertainment is even crazier than Korea
* You'll find anything that exist in western countries in Japan just like Korea
* Technology is more advanced in Japan
* Crime rates are low minus the molestation

Disadvantages

Korea
* Except for some big names, Academies in Korea are generally money oriented and not run as professionally. You are often required to work outside the working hours.
* There is anti-US sentiment in Korea which cause some people to hold prejuduce against whites.
* Many girls still hold traditional values which makes it harder for you to get laid. Also some girls are reluctant to date caucasians.
* The cultural gap between western society and Korea is bigger than compared to Japan.
* The traffic/pollution in Korea is crazy

Japan
* People don't show it but Japanese think they're superier to any other race. They expect you to speak Japanese to you even if you're a foreigner.
* The level of English spoken in Japan are a lot lower than Korea
* Living cost is extremely expensive compared to Korea
* Due to population ratio, the houses in Japan are a lot smaller than Korea (Even though Korean houses are still small compared to western society)

All in all, I think both has ups and downs I'd personally say Japan if finance is not your concern,
but you'll save more money in Korea. You won't be having much fun in Japan with small amount of money.

But seriously, who decides to go overseas for a year just over pretty girls? You'll find pretty girls everywhere.
