My little butt is so hurt by this. This is the perfect exaple of how stupid this sounds. ( I don't mean you Psychobabas, cuz I see what you did here ) Lets purify BM and "racism" from the internet, for the sake of esports. Oh shit there is no esports left... stand up comedy and blatant racial insults are totally and utterly different. You can see what destiny wrote in those screenshots and comparing it to a stand up comedian is utterly wrong. He is a racist simple as. He says those things because he is raging. Professional esports is trying to grow. Supporting racists will stop that growth. We don't like racists irl so why should we gamers tolerate racists ingame as well? Do you think Destiny actually hates Asians? If so, please explain why. If not, realize that there's a significant difference between the racists people rail against IRL (i.e. people who actively try to stop minorities from participating in some aspect of society) and people who use the word 'nigger' (i.e. about 99% of the english-speaking world). Destiny said something that would insult/hurt the other ethnic group he or she is speaking to. He deliberately went out of his way to insult a korean based on his race. Therefore that comment was a racist comment. Simple. So instead of using 'gook', Destiny used 'dumassfuck retard'. You'd be satisfied? No because that would be discriminatory based on a person's disability. You do realize insults are based off a characteristic (real or assumed) of the targeted person?
Why don't you just come out and say you feel insults should be banned.

I just don't get these things anymore.
It's just insane, literally, a perfect term is we are lynching people, without due process. Like, the community are a part of the freaking Salem Witch Trails. We are being judge, jury, executioner, and supreme asshole. We are not letting these events, process long enough. We are not letting objective questions, and none emotional responces govern things. We are being fucking crazy ass fiends, who just do whatever we want without any semblance of order or intelligence. We are running off emotions, and making all of us look like asses, to everybody, everywhere.
Get a grip Sc2 community, we are honestly pathetic.

Is there a point to discussing this with you when you immediately assume that somebody you disagree with is lying? The point is that you could have achieved the same outcome (Destiny losing his team) without harming Quantic. Please address this.

The only good thing in this situation is the fact that Razer will never leave esports, mostly because it is a company based on it. Besides that, it is fuckin riddiculous. "Oh my god, he called someone a bad name that had something to do with his race, oh noeeeees, that is terrible". Seriously guys, get fuckin real. Esports community is global so stop treating it with your own standards. The fact that in your countries political correctness is so fuckin hilarious doesn't really apply to everyone. Who the fuck gives you the right to speak for the community? SC2 community is not located in the US or UK. "I emailed sponsors, I fight racism", no idiot, you don't. You ruin everything esports community is building. How mailing sponsors about stuff like this is fighting racism? Were you the one that got directly abused? Guess not. So it is not your fuckin bussiness. I hope that if you see someone in the street that calles other guy a nigger, you instantly mail his employer about this, just in case. And if a football player calls other player a nigger you instantly mail team's sponsors about this fact. Why do I think this all political correctness is a joke? Plenty of LoL and SC2 players call other people on streams retards, idiots and all kinds of different, offensive names. And it is fine, no one cares. But try calling someone a nigger and a shitstorm rises. Pathetic.

You didn't get Destiny fired. He and Quantic parted ways on their own. All you did was hurt a team that has done a great deal for esports. Because you reacted before you thought, you did more harm than good. If you seriously think he "parted ways cordially" with Quantic, you're obviously mistaken. The fact that this issue came about up to the point that he had to leave the team means that it was a Serious talk. i.e. Quantic said "Look, sort your act out... we're hurting because we're a professional organisation and your non-pc language isn't pleasing sponsors" That is 100% not the point of my post. I could say he was fired, or chased out with a baseball bat, and the point would be the same. The point is that your desired outcome (him being punished for his language) could have been achieved without contacting sponsors, and therefore without harming Quantic.
a) I sincerely hope people will learn from this. You cannot expect to be repping a professional organisation and expect to get away with any behaviour you'd like. It's similar to wearing Jeans as a doctor - it's just unprofessional behaviour. If you're in a position in society which requires you to act in a certain mould, don't forget that.
b) How would this have been resolved without harming Quantic in some way? Explain please - he was on their roster, he was using expletive language? Contacting sponsors I'd say is the good thing in the long term - now professional teams will enforce certain rules on their players. i.e. Teams (and players) will take this on board, and no such event will happen in the future.
c) I think that Quantic have shown their professionalism. When sponsors contact them and they say "Yes, we had a rogue, but we cut ties even though he was popular within the community", I think this shows that the organisation has integrity. If I were working for razer, and I saw that this organisation I was sponsoring was condoning this behaviour, I would have cut ties altogether.

What due process do you want exactly? Destiny called a Korean player a gook. There's no debate, no mistaken identity. Destiny used a racial slur against someone of that race. It's a racist action. Destiny loves to argue for context. The context is that Destiny called a Korean a gook, a derogatory term for a Korean.
There's not much room for extra context here. Destiny knew the guy was Korean. He called him a gook because of this. Arguing about whether that's racist is idiotic.
