Game 1 is going to be tough, with rust possibly being a factor and the Clippers still having some game 7 adrenaline. Probably the key game of the series. Spurs are going to destroy them lol, I don't think it's going to be close at all esp with all the extra rest for SA I just hope the Heat lose in the finals, it would really suck if OKC/SA tire each other out then lose to Miami
We'll see. I have a lot of confidence in the Spurs and I think they'll win but the Clippers are clearly better than anyone expected (myself included). They're a pretty deep, complete team with good bigs, a couple good point guards (including a great one) and good shooters. And too much rest typically hurts in the first game, especially in the first half. Let's not underrate the Clippers, they play tough.

They give your team a significant advantage on offense, so why not use it as long as the refs are letting you get away with it? The same goes for flopping, abusing 3 secs in the key, defenders holding/grabbing players to restrict their movement, jumpshooters kicking out their legs to draw fouls, etc. Not all of these things are in the same boat. Moving screens are actually against the rules. Flopping and drawing fouls are not, while disguised fouling and 3 second violations are against the rules as well. The point is KG does it more than any big man I've ever seen and it's preposterous that he gets away with it so much. I understand the idea of "taking what the ref gives you" but it's still stupid. If everyone could run moving screens as much as KG then we'd have a lot more dudes being ran over to set up offensive plays. It's a foul and should be called and no one should be upset when it is, even if it decides the game. He's been given more than enough slack that it being called once isn't a travesty or unfair to the Celtics in any way. While they are not in the same boat, they are still the same in one thing. Get the advantage over your apponent= more chances to win. It's not as big a deal with ingame rule violations as there's clear cut responses (Simple foul calls), but the idea of cheating when you don't think you'll get caught being okay is the wrong one to me.
Then you guys should clearly be more vocal when players hook each other's arms to hold them in place without the ref calling. Even when it's your own team.

The refs continue to favor the Miami heat. Recovery speed = whack the guy on the arm and call it a block.

Hehe, then again if they didn't call fouls the score would be like 25-20.

Miami might not even make the Finals without Bosh. Losing him is a huge blow.

It's an ugly one indeed.

The crowd is putting a ton of pressure on their team. Comparing it to other crowds seems unfair.

This is tense. Wade should have known better. Starting the leyup/dunk so far away....come on man, then a stupid foul on the other side. Frustration. Let's get it together!
|
Dunno what's a more annoying quality of Wade. The fact that he cries to refs about 90% of his shots even when he is not touched or that when he feels he didn't get the call he should have he won't hustle back on defense and instead he will sit and pout.

WTB redeem play from LBJ for those 2 misses on the line

I think its the fact that he is so talented and maintains his poutiness.

LeBron still won't take the final shot.

Meeeeh! Well they had chances. Can't really blame Lebron, he played 43 mins. But they need to find someone else then Lebron and Wade on the ofensive end. Credit that to Indiana defense. Let's see how Heat respond. Well atleast i'll be watching!

Spurs really play some beautiful basketball.

Their role players were terrible. Guys passing up open shots and Jpel Anthony not making layups is going to be hell.

Damn this Clippers Spurs game is pretty good right now Love the plays from both sides Clippers doing a really good job of taking advantage of weak moments in Spurs def

The commentators for SAS games are always so boring for me.

Can't be worse than Steve Kerr during any Miami game. Dude is so happy when the Heat lose.
