3 shot is never a good shot. It is always below 50% given its contested to a degree. By shooting 3 you are likely to lose. Thanks for the low % giveaway, Wade.

I'm fairly sure the Heat's win % would have been lower than Wade's open 3 had they gone into double overtime. It's pointless to speak in hypotheticals, however.

i didnt watch the game but even if wade went for the two, he couldve missed it with a lower chance and when they go OT2, they will PROBABLY still lose given lbj fouled out. just some assumptions i have no issue with wade taking the 3

I think Spoelstra wanted to go for the three. I don't think he liked his chances with LBJ fouled out of the game already.

Yeah I reckon the Heat wanted a three on that last play. Maybe they thought it was better for Wade to take a long 2/3 against Daniels than try barrel into the lane with the whole Celtic team collapsing on him.

Who knows?

Just curious: have there ever been statistics released regarding the winrate of teams at home (in general season and in playoffs I suppose)? I'm actually sort of interested in exactly how much of an advantage being at home gives. There's psychological/refereeing advantage I suppose, but I sometimes wonder just how much of an edge being at home gives.

I think thats exactly what they had in mind. The minutes Wade had been playing another OT woudlve been brutal.

I dont see the huge fuss. The best driving into the lane wouldve gotten him wouldve been a kickout for a long jumper or a 3 I didnt fancy it and apparantly neither did Spo, ofcourse if a lane opens up sure but it didnt and it prob wouldnt have so he did the next best thing. He got a clear enough look after duping Daniels and he didnt make it. Gogo game 5

Only 14 teams have came back from being down 2-0 in a seven game series. Home court is huge if you win those first two

Hmm I see, yeah I guess that's the most directly relevant statistic with regard to the current state of the series. I am a bit curious about the overall percentage though

The rest of this series hinges on Chris Bosh. There's no way he sits out game 5 now.

Activated for game 5.

I think it would be better to see the %'s after it's tied at 2-2. It's just a best of three now, but all Miami has to do still is win at home. It's a must win for Miami on Tuesday.

As a French it was quite funny to see Pietrus get that foul on Lebron. I'm almost certain it wasn't even a flop, Pietrus just has the worst footwork in the game. He consistently falls to the ground when he drives, even when there's no one around. It's usually frustrating to see this naturally gifted guy be so bad at simple things but for once it paid off ^^

Frankly, Miami seems better though, and while they could get unlucky and lose they probably won't. Boston shot really well, Miami didn't, and they still could've lost on a very good look by Wade. Miami isn't particularly dominating against Boston's starters but Boston's bench is just too bad to keep up in the long run.

Maybe you should look up Wades 3 point%, if you think younger Heat team is 26% vs Cs in 2nd OT they probably have no business trying.

He got a good look, the kind of shot he's going to make at least 33%(and that's being very conservative). Either that, or go for a 2 that he could maybe get at 50%, for a second overtime without Lebron... sorry, I'm going to go with Wade on that one. He just got unlucky.

His 3 point percentage is low because he takes some questionnable 3s. Not to mention you're looking at a very limited number of shots in the playoffs (24), that is affected by shots taken at end of quarters or of a possession (and it's still 30% by the way). No guard averages 26% at that spot for an open look. Hell, I shoot better than that.

Wade is too manly to let the ref decide the game by jumping into the beaten celtic in that play who launched himself in mid air trying to block a pump fake. A man among man!

This isnt an open look, he had to sidestep and shoot in motion, not that easy for someone with subpar ability to score from that range. His career and season averages are below 0.260 I believe, thus it isnt unlucky, its expected he misses.

Supposedly 'the new rule' states that you dont get a foul anymore if you jump into a defender. Not that its enforced with any consistency, but still.
