Hey everyone. When I play Starcraft 2 I enjoy listening to Drum n Bass/Electronic music more than any other type of music. I find that it increases my performance by giving me a more relaxed, concentrated mind state. Also, I find music with lyrics to be more distracting, and the same for more "intense" music such as dubstep. I find electronic music really does improve my performance and puts me in a better mood while I play.
The problem: I've downloaded many DnB compilations, albums, artists, etc. I've now overplayed the artists/albums I enjoy and can't seem to find new DnB/electronic music. That's where you guys come in!
I was wondering if anyone had any album/artist recommendations that you find goes well with Starcraft 2. Ideally the recommendations would take into consideration my own taste of music shown through the list below.
Here are some of the DnB artists/albums I listen to while I play: Aphex Twin Burial Feint Hospital Records Sick Music 2 Liquicity London Elektricity Mount Eden Massive Attack Netsky Scuba The Knife The King of Limbs album
I've listened to Nero, but find their combination of dubstep/dnb to be a sound I don't enjoy while gaming.
I've also listened to Chase n Status, but I find their music too "intense", loud, and fast paced to listen to while gaming. It puts my in an anxious mind state while playing instead of a more relaxed, concentrated mind state I get from other Drum n Bass.
I'm looking for DnB like Feint, Burial, Mount Eden, Aphex Twin, and the Hospital Records Sick Music 2 album. I also enjoy the sort of more obscure "grunge" DnB like Scuba, The Knife, and Burial.
This site has some solid free albums (legit artisit site, you can donate). I came across it through a recommendation site. I haven't listened to all the albums yet but liked Paper Diamond - Levitate and Break Science - Monolith Code. I have no idea what type of electronic music they are. I normally listen to more hip-hop and downtempo but I enjoy the faster and stronger stuff when playing SC.
