But this martyr attitude you have is really grinding on everyone - Staff, users, veterans. No one can provide feedback/criticism without you blowing it right out of proportion. A lot of new users are making valid points and arguments, and for you to immediately dismiss them because of their post count/age is really disappointing. Veterans - especially those in the spotlight, need to be able to accept criticism and if they don't like it......well, like my friend inControl used to say "jlig". Veterancy is something we value a lot here; however, it can only be taken so far. If you reread Artosis' thread, you can see he is offended by anyone directing anything but praise at him. He is offended by criticism, calling for skeptics to be banned, despite having justified opinions. This is an attitude that cannot be cultivated here. Teamliquid has a bit of a bad reputation of being extremely biased against new users, and continuing down Artosis' path will only make it worse. It's not a direction (I think) we should continue. Everyone should be free to post their justified thoughts. Despite multiple private warnings, Artosis chose to continue with this line of posting, which was the cause of this ban. Update: Apparently Artosis was not warned multiple times and I inferred wrong information. Sorry about that to everyone, including Artosis. | ||
