Starcraft 2 has come a long way in skill since it was born. It started being a blob vs blob game, but we have been seeing much more micro and smart-thinking as the game grew older. Of course, the skill level hasn't stagnated yet and it will grow even higher, we can see little flashes of it every now and then.
In this thread I'd like you to say which ones have you seen. I'll start with mine.
1. IMNestea vs IMMVP: Nestea is suffering high aggression from MVP with few marines, so he times his zerglings with his dying hatchery to kill the marines with the combined attack of zerglings and broodlings, great move. But MVP reads it and waits for the zerglings to pop out to kill them and then kills the hatchery, another great move.
2. I don't really remember the game. It was a TvP, the Protoss player has charge, so the Terran player sends one unit to activate the charge just before the engagement, great move. The Protoss player rapidly presses hold position on his zealots to avoid the activation of charge, another great move.
They might not seem so spectacular, but in those tension moments, you really need some awsome players to pull those moves off.
The way he abused the fact that stephanos army was very immobile, and recalled his entire army in stephanos main base while Stephanos army is on the seond part of the map.
nr 2 looks pretty standard to me, Terran sends 1 marine to scout ur army insted of wasting a scan and protoss not wasting charge / showing that he has charge

Wouldn't it be easier to just turn off the autocast?
1. MvP vs Top GSL finalen game 1, insane attack on the main base. 2. KiwiKaki vs Stephano with recall, that was absolutely brilliant. 3. NesTea and ... everything he does. But especially the 4 hatch safe play with 80 drones vs Protoss forge expand, that overnight turned forge expand from a really hard build to play against, into a really easy zerg favored protoss opening. That build changed the matchup so much, with all his timings for evo chamber, spores, gas, queens, spines, perfected, to be safe vs anything.
- Bomber landing his CC to absorb tank fire before rushing in and demolishing the tank line - Polt's unbelievable marine split against MMA on Metalopolis. - Oz's forcefields
I also thought Genius was switching teams or games. =P

No, since you need to right click on the ability to do so. Just pressing hold position requires 0 mouse movement and can be done instantly when you see a marine charging at you.

Or you could press C right o.O (excuse me if im wrong)
some korean zerg (dont remember who), in ipl qualifiers, sends an overlord scout in the protoss's base while he has only a sentry to shoot it down. However, the overlord was half dead and he didn't see anything in the base yet (except the 2 sentries shooting him), so he morphs it to an overseer right there, in the middle of the protoss's base. That allows him to reset the hp on the overseer, so he now has a full life overseer in the protoss's base!!! He then proceeds to scout the whole base just like that, losing nothing, when an overlord scout would normally be dead without seeing anything. turns out there was a dark shrine in the back of the base. I was impressed

yeah, that was sick, but usually zerg doesnt have lair at this point of the game and if they do they just morph overseer before scouting ^^

true, but if it was me, i would never have thought of that if I had that lair and that I was trying to overlord scout like that ^^
This is kind of useless unless you require people to provide vod/replay examples. Otherwise its just a bunch of people writing about this one cool thing that happened that time over there.
