You either were one of the cool popular kids that learned this since high school, or you become a PUA and learn this after college, or you become your typical average american, who has no skills with women, fat, and unhappy with life. The average divorce rate is 50%. I am certainly not going to marry a girl and not know shes truly the one, without having experience with a lot of girls to know exactly what I want. I want my kids to have amazing genetics and to have a mother who is smart and has an amazing personality.

Like playing starcraft, its an investment of time in a certain set of skills. Some invest enough to make careers, some get to A+, etc. their skills involve meeting (or 'approaching'), establish a connection, and seduction. how much of each, when, how, why and on whom it's used depends on each individual.
