Im not that much of a fan of new-school political rap like Dead Prez, etc either. Black people just arent mistreated like they used to be. The only people to blame for the stereotypes of black people are black people themselves... If you dont want me to think black people are thugs and crooks, then how about you dont become a thug or a crook? I also like to catch the occasional glimpse of Dirrty  I dont really watch that much Much Music, or tv for that matter, I have the movie network and that is basically on 24/7 with the exception of a few tv shows I watch (NBC Thursday, Twin Peaks on Scream, West Wing, American Idol, and Joe Millionaire, Seinfeld when its on too). | ||

Im allowed some vices. Joe Millionaire and American Idol are just for entertainment, and they are funny. I have enough stuff in my life to 'culture' me, you need to relax sometime. As for the racist statement. It is very easy to misinterpret what I say because I have a hard time explaining my POV in one post, or even 30 for that matter. With enough of a discussion you would probably understand it, but theres no chance for that to happen. I am by no means a prejudiced person, almost all my friends are either gay or 'ethnic' (what are you supposed to say now-a-days?), but I am slightly ethnocentric, I think all of us are. When I use terms to describe a certain group of people, I dont base it on physical characteristics but on behavioral characteristics. This goes against the norm so I get misunderstood (of course I am rewriting my dictionary so its my fault). If I were to say I hate 'Niggers' (plz im not trying to be racist), you would assume Im talking about black people, but when if I were to use the word 'Nigger' I would be using it to describe that stereotypical thug -- regardless of skin color. So you could be a white nigger, a black nigger, an asian nigger, etc... Its not dependant on race It would be a lot smarter for me to instead say thugs, but for some reason I always try to be as politically incorrect as possible, and my arguments suffer for it. | ||

In all other encounters I've had with people who listen to all metal, they have always flipped out when a group that could potentially be played on MTV is named. It's better to like rap than metal anyways. Rap is more commonly accepted at clubs and by girls. When you go on a first date with somebody, are you going to roll up with slayer or fear factory blaring on your stereo? Hopefully not. Listen to whatever you want on your own time and learn to be accepting of other types of music that are more commonly liked. I'm open to people liking whatever they want. However since you felt the need to isolate the people who like rap on the board, I wanted to return the favor. | ||

Only problem i have with Canibus is that hes always rymin about battlin...Dont get me wrong hes good at it, prolly the best out there. But that gets a lil redundant. Plus lack of good management.
