Not everyone lives in suburbia, and not all of us are friends with normal, mentally stable people. ScienceRob, stop threatening to find where people live. Have you ever broke into a stash house before? How well did that go? Uhh, what? This is the most retarded post of the thread. And that is saying something.

I know why I lock the door when I leave. I know that if I don't lock it I will be fine, most likely, but there is no point in taking a chance.

Having said that though I wouldnt go getting involved in too many fights or that love for "violent games" and MMA may be useful information for someone. I could find your Twitter account, your MMA blog and your TL account which would then lead onto your ustream accounts and casts. I also appear to have found a picture of your parents house. That was found pretty quickly and you know what you are doing though I would advise not using the same identifier everywhere. I'm about as calm of a person in real life as you can get. The last true fight I got in was when I was in 5th grade. Nice try though. My Twitter is all over the place: twitter.com/iccupdiamond my MMA blog is now defunct so good job with that. And you found a picture of a house. Wow. I live in a city with probably 20k houses. So yea....

With all due respect, get over yourself. It might be fine for you, but other people depend on keeping their information private. Legal information can almost certainly affect your future employability. Medical information as well. And that's just things that can be done legally. Much worse things can be done outside formal employment. For example the medical history of a HIV patient being made public will most certainly mean that he will get socially ostracised. Just because nothing has happened to you does not mean everyone else will enjoy the same luck.

Fair enough. There are other fansites out there, if you're that worried about having your name tied to your tech problems.

That is not how odds work, the only relevant thing is how many people will read your post on BN. Making post on other forums don't influence that.

My point is the chances of someone picking your house to bulgarize is quite low (this is saying a lot as I have lived in some shitty apartments) yet the majority of people, and I would speculate you as well, still lock the door when you leave. I know why I lock the door when I leave. I know that if I don't lock it I will be fine, most likely, but there is no point in taking a chance. People can do this anywhere to anybody, though. If you were in the newspaper or a high school newsletter for honour roll, they can slap your name into Google.

What do you want to know. I suffered from a ruptured spleen in second grade and had it removed. I than had a Slipped capital femoral epiphysis when I was 19 and had 3 surgeries to correct it. One was the cutting of my femur in half to reposition my leg. I suffer from chronic arthritis from having my leg cut in half and all so I am a medicinal marijuana user. Other than that I only have had minor bumps and bruises over my life and that's my cliffnotes medical history. What more you want? Diamond, you're a good guy, but I really think you arn't thinking this through. I for example in my last job was capable with no paper trail to me, kill a person's internet with just a name. I had in fact looked up multiple of my wow guildies internet connections who I was good friends with back in the day to see what they're connections were like when I was bored at work. If I were inclined, after being pissed off at somebody over the internet, I could just go through and cap their connection with an admin tag to not be removed without explicit admin permission. it would be burried, they may complain about their speed, it would go through endless paperwork and get buried for up to 3 months, at which point it would be restored to normal, when I'd just do it again, so how would you like to be unable to play any games, stream, or even watch youtube on your connection at all because you pissed off the wrong person on the internet?

Keeping your name safe is liking locking your door. It's highly unlikely that you'll be burglarized, and they could get in anyways if they really wanted, but you lock your door anyways to be safe.
