My point remains the same, even if it is reduced to a selective group of homes that do not require locking but are locked never the less. The whole "gonna get you in RL" is really a straw man. We should be much more worried about what people can do to you online. Online harassement, stalking, etc is pretty real and much more likely. It can also really screw up your life.

I for example in my last job was capable with no paper trail to me, kill a person's internet with just a name. I had in fact looked up multiple of my wow guildies internet connections who I was good friends with back in the day to see what they're connections were like when I was bored at work. If I were inclined, after being pissed off at somebody over the internet, I could just go through and cap their connection with an admin tag to not be removed without explicit admin permission. it would be burried, they may complain about their speed, it would go through endless paperwork and get buried for up to 3 months, at which point it would be restored to normal, when I'd just do it again, so how would you like to be unable to play any games, stream, or even watch youtube on your connection at all because you pissed off the wrong person on the internet? Uh I'd switch internet providers. Seems easy enough.

If you believe that even a 0.1% chance of you being harmed is unacceptable, then that is a diffrent matter. But I do believe thinking that such a small chance warrents fear is being alittle paranoid. Edit: spelling

You're OK with sharing your name, that's great! Not everyone is though. This is going to be a big hit to the community that they're trying to build. They are going to lose far more people than they will gain with this recent change. Husky I think you'll gonna have to make another kittens video over this....

Having said that though I wouldnt go getting involved in too many fights or that love for "violent games" and MMA may be useful information for someone. I could find your Twitter account, your MMA blog and your TL account which would then lead onto your ustream accounts and casts. I also appear to have found a picture of your parents house. That was found pretty quickly and you know what you are doing though I would advise not using the same identifier everywhere. I'm about as calm of a person in real life as you can get. The last true fight I got in was when I was in 5th grade. Nice try though. My Twitter is all over the place: twitter.com/iccupdiamond my MMA blog is now defunct so good job with that. And you found a picture of a house. Wow. I live in a city with probably 20k houses. So yea.... I did say I didnt find much but i honestly didnt spend more than 5 minutes I was quite surprised how much I did find. Your MMA blog maybe defunct but as I said shows an interest in it and if you got into a fight and accidently killed someone It would cause a problem for you. I think you missed a post above who obviously can see your medical records at least he is alluding to that. As I said before you know what you are doing. For me I never use my real name, yes thats a risk if i ever have my account hacked but then again ive never had to prove my name when contacting any customer support either. Also my name is so common so its not an issue for me ive had dental and medical records mixed up but for women especially it is a much bigger risk. My sister has an x directory phone number simply because teenagers go through phone books calling anyone with a female name.

If someone wanted to get into your house they could whether you locked the door or not, they could actually go through your locked door if they really wanted to. But you don't seem to be worried about that, so why are you so worried about this?

Just compare the Numbers of people that can see you´re business card with how many people can see it displayed on the internet to start off.

Just like on the internet. If someone wants to steal your identity or find out stuff about you they can, but again, why make it easy for them.

Your business card doesnt have that you like voilent sports or that you smoke pot or that you play wow 10 hours a day. I has your business address on it and your business phone number and business email. At least mine does. I give it to who I want to give it to.
