Lecaf Oz :::::: VS :::::: Air Force AceShinhan Bank Proleague 08-09 Round 2 Week 5(T) HiyA (T) < Andromeda > (Z) OversKy (Z) (Z) Jaedong (Z) < Destination > (P) Anytime (P) (T) fOrGG (T) < Rush Hour 3 > (T) Casy (T) (P) BackHo (P) < Neo Harmony > (P) fOru (P) ACE Match < Medusa > Predictions: + Show Spoiler +If you look at this match, it should be Lecaf ez. But if you look closer, then you see ACE might has a chance. But look EVEN closer and you realize that it's hopeless--Lecaf will win. (T) HiyA (T) < Andromeda > (Z) OversKy (Z) (Z) Jaedong (Z) < Destination > (P) Anytime (P) (T) fOrGG (T) < Rush Hour 3 > (T) Casy (T) (P) BackHo (P) < Neo Harmony > (P) fOru (P) ACE Match < Medusa > 1) HiyA beat YellOw[ArnC] last week and looked good doing it, even if YellOw[ArnC] played poorly that game. OversKy, while being a solid player, has dismal ZvT. Plus, the map favors terrans. 2) Jaedong is seeing a resurgence and even Anytime says he loses constantly to Jaedong during practice games. He saw a resurgence Last week taking out the world's PvZ in convincing fashion. Anytime will have to show something creative to take this. 3) This is a close one, Casy has been showing great TvT in all the games that he loses. Unfortunately, fOrGG is no slouch at TvT. I suspect fOrGG will either get a early-game advantage or macro his way to victory. 4) Who sucks more? I'm going to have to go with fOru--I mean, he is facing the master of tactics and mindgames. zizi yO, man. But honestly, fOru's PvP has been abysmal for years, while BackHo's PvP actually landed him a CBNC on the power rank some months ago. Each time I make a LR thread, I always get one more prediction right. If it stays on course, I should be 4/4 tonight. Results: + Show Spoiler +

What's with the spoilers for predictions?
|
Btw, I can't believe you think Hiya > Oversky. I'm pretty sure that Oversky is the better player in this match, if only by a little. He is Ace's best player and always has solid performance.

Jaedong vs Anytime should be great.

Dramatic effect, no doubt

Why? To see that there is nothing Zerg can do to compete with T and P?
Go JD

I think he's bitter over what happened with SKT T1.

Might want to un-tlpd last, great, and man in your spoiler.

if it goes to ace we will most definately see jaedong vs casy given their history

Wow, ACE has a real shot here. They will need OversKy, Casy, and fOru to win - all totally possible. I'm not sure how good HiyA's TvZ is these days, but I put blind faith in OversKy.
|
Jaedong 2-0 again gogogogo
see how many games he can pull his magic in
that being said I've been waiting to see JD vs ManLytime since their dominance in Shinhan '07
edit: both of them combined for a 63-17 record during the two rounds of that league

So you predicted all Lecaf wins; yet you will get 4/4..... didn't think about that one very much did you? :p
Anytime-Jaedong should be immense. I'm expecting some cool timing attack from Anytime, but I'm hoping JD can hold it off.

looks like a thrilling match (except game 4-_-)
|
Lecaf gogogo! The currently highest ranking team (or so I think) against the currently lowest ranking team!!
|
oh man.. anytime again T_T
still. I BELIEVE!
|
3-0 for Lecaf, or 2-1 because of Oversky winning, after which it's most likely 3-1. However, if there's one thing FailHo exels at, it is failing. I wouldn't be surprised if it went to an Ace match if Oversky managed to beat Hiya. However, I don't think anyone on Ace could beat Jaedong on Medusa, but Anytime is their best bet by far.
|
won't be 3-0 because game 3 is RH3 + Casy + TvT

lolol...
Anytime has a better chance of beating Jaedong (~15% I guess) than fOrU winning. I will only watch this to watch Casy in all his glory. The rest look like =( games coming up.
Cmon Anytime, ONE TIME!! I believe!! If Bisu can't do it, might as well leave it up to Anytime...lol.

Anytime vs Jaedong
I'm pretty sure Anytime specifically mentioned in his pre-ACE interview that if Ace ever met up with Lecaf in the proleagues he would hate to face JD.
|
anytime vs Jaedong??
Go Anytime! Make Jaedong your bitch! (which reminds me, they're former teammates)
|
Oh god, if this goes to game 4, ace will lose.
|
Well, Lecaf should own hard, but I do wish Ace can at least send it to an ace match, and we have a Casy vs. Jaedong showdown. Improbable maybe, but one can hope. After all, we can NEVER underestimate Backho's ability to fail.

LOL~ Chogoling King forces nat lift and many firebats and dead scvs.

From what I see, Oversky is steamrolling HiyA, broke through his expansion and forced the CC to lift.

Some lings in HiyA's minz line getting cleaned up by Firebats. HiyA top left, OS lower left.
|
Hiya is gathering up quite an army.
|
|
Oversky pumping a ton of zerglings, teching to lair, expanding while HiyA has only just broken out of his main.
|
Oversky is a poor poor man.
|
Oversky kills some marines with zerglings, tries to run through, fails. Mutalisks out.
|
Oh man...Oversky. Don't let that ugly bastard win...
Hiya ceremony, he is the progamer I want most to roll over and die.

oh man oversky's muta harass was just a whole tier below HiyA's defense. He GG's after failed muta/ling attack.
though i guess that cant be helped, since HiyA practices vs JD's mutas
|
gg hiya didnt even have to attack
|
Oversky GGs out after a failed attack at the front and losing a ton of Mutas to poor micro.
|
Oversky can't break through hiyas defense, loses alot of mutas and gg's.
|
The main attraction--can anyone find both Anytime and Jaedong in their old plain uniforms looking badass so I can update the pics into the OP?
|
The game was over before the mutas even went up. Hiya just buried the nails in the coffin with the mass turrets and marine D. Oversky made a million lings and the terran kept the CC and lost like total 7 scvs. =( What is a zorg to do. He is no Jaedonger.
|
ok now for the main attraction, Anytime vs JD. I wish we could see this matchup 6 months ago when Anytime was still slaying every zerg he met.
|
Jaedong dying his hair--didn't another well-known progamer use to do that?
I miss his pre-Arena MSL hair. TT
|
Huhuhuhu, Old captain about to get raped =(. Cmon Anytime!!! ONE TIME!! Beat Jaedonger.
This actual match is like a dream come true~ although a bit late.

YO, ANYTIME FIGHTING!!!!
If will be so sexy if anytime wins this.
|
HOHOHO! Bold Anytime goes Forge+Gate before cannon. His Cyber is really late though compared to how fast Jaedong's lair is.
There was a lot of really cute probe micro.
Jaedong's Muta's are so ridiculous fast. O, skoji.

Jaedong's speedlings corner and kill Anytime's five slowlots. Anytime going with a speedlot/archon opener, I think.
|
Anytime lost about 7 zealots for nothing. He lost a DT. This is gonna be so =(.
O Anytime =( I wish things were different.
|
Jaedong's mutalisks are so strong...its completely imbal. They never die, they kill everything...
|
OMG HIS MUTAS FLARED OUT TO AVOID SAIR SPLASH!!! WHAT THE FUCK

That is...
Too many...
hydra.
T.T

Jaedong's mutalisks are ripping Anytime apart. Ton of Hydralisks. The game is pretty much sealed.
|
Ugh, maybe when I get to college I'm have better internet connection. TT
|
WOW that celebration was baller!
|
Jaedong is so kind. Showing his full build to Anytime. =(. He coulda just ended with mutas.
|
jd's using muta so effectively, forcing anytime to merge 4 hts into 2 archons. Only 2 ht left and that's not enough to vs million hydras. anytime gg-ed.
|

Pretty poor from Anytime. He saw the mutas from a long way away. Why did he have only one cannon and 2 corsairs at his main?
I can forgive losing all the micro battles because there's not much you can do about that against JD, but losing about 20 probes at his main was the big difference.

No, Anytime was dead long before that. It was just a side effect of playing JD. He really couldnt't help that since the 5-6 sairs anytime had would have been able to defend that. But JD scourge/muta'd them to death.

I mean in games like vs Kal on Andromeda and Flash, once he looks like he could just a-move into his opponents army with probable success, he doesn't.

Some years ago dying your hair was the latest fashion in Korea, to the point that even some HS had to let their students come to school hair dyed(at my time, in the most strict schools, even girls couldn't wear earrings). That's why during summer and winter vacation everyone went haywire dying their hairs with crazy colors. Nowdays, not as many guys do it, and those who do it usually go plain brown 갈색, which doesn't hurt the eye and doesn't make you look like a punk or a drag-queen.
Most old school progamers had their hair dyed at least brownish(blond bridges included in some cases), including Boxer, Nada, Savior, Casy and many more.
Some notable progamers I can remember that did something "special" to their heads.. - H.O.T was the king of hair dying(no wonder considering his nicknames, H.O.T was the name of a boyband). - Xellos had his hair dyed with bridges in different tones. The most extreme he has gone was when he dyed his hair with grey bridges. - Sync had his hair dyed mahogany. - Silent_Control spent all his money in stylists and clothing, so go figure. - Garimto was sort of blond, and he looked like a metalcase guy(철가방), which is the guys who deliver food to your house. - July has gone from red to brown and mixtures. - Kingdom went nordic blond and he looked really weird. - Reach has also done a lot of shit with his hair, both in shape and color. - Shark likes to play with his hair a little too much. - YellOw always wanted to be a metrosexual, and his hair was a vital part of it. - Before Rock had his chin done, dyed his hair really blondish, and he looked like the short guy from the Flinstones. - Junwi had his share of weird colored hair. - GoRush, same as above. - Joyo went redhead. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if it was that all P.O.S went redhead, July included.
Right now, that's all that comes to my mind, but I'm sure lots of people can remember some other progamers with crazy hair doings. Hey, that's not progaming. That is Korea. Come to think of it, most of old school progamers have done something crazy to their hair, or at least dyed to 갈색, which was the most common color guys dyed their hair. Nowdays, it is not so fashionable anymore, but still some do their hair, although not something crazy like pink or red.
|
Rock got his chin done? I read somewhere that fOrGG did a similar thing. I still like Jaedong's pre-Arena MSL hair.
