This match has a lot of hype surrounding it. The depth and experience of Ace's team means that they should cheese every match because that's all they have practice time for.
I think Anytime is the type of player that could dominate without practicing, though.

wow everyone is really hyping for a Reach and Anytime win. I dont think reach is gonna win against Bisu since Reach left KTF in a slump and Bisu is coming in with huge momentum. I just cant picture Reach winning like how i couldnt picture Oov winning his first proleague game in awhile. Anytime on the other hand i think could take his game but itll be close.

Yea, but Fantasy's expectations are ridiculously high and he isn't going to live up to them until he wins an OSL. Casy's also been underperforming though. He lost a TvZ against someone relatively well known, if I remember correctly. But then again, he's on ace, so the expectations for him weren't that high anyways.

Fantasy hasn't had much going for him either. He might be in GOM, but I don't remember him being there. I think this is his only game to prep for as well.

Well to his credit, I think mumyung's zvz is his best match up. He may not have the zvz star sense, but at least he's very consistent in it.
EDIT: Apparently TLPD shows him with a slightly higher ZvP record (wtf hahaha), but I think it's generally accepted that compared to other players/his other match ups, his ZvZ is his best match up.
Also apparently his ELO max was over 2200...must've been back in 2001.

it really just depends what he was looking for. He didn't scan for like 2 seconds, which is easily explained by macro and/or the vult play he was trying to pull off at the same time in the front of fantasy's nat.

A lot of Robbie's posts are junk, don't worry about it.
Anyways, I think Casy was out of energy. He had the multitask - but I think that he ran out energy. He was relatively quick to move the wraiths away and he wouldn't have lost so many wraiths if Fantasy had not chosen to snipe the two weakest ones first, like a true champion.

I personally think casy was overaggressive with those vultures a few times over..especially when he tried to break into fantasy's main.
It baffles me how he can come up with some brilliant strategics and still make basic offensive errors..hence his crappy tvp.

Easy to say with complete information. For all Casy knew he was an expo ahead and ahead in supply, he probably thought he could end it right there (and he nearly did). The mistake was more failing to scout that expo, especially as he knew there was a CC still floating around somewhere.

I love how close all the teams are getting in relative skill. Although it's bad for my fantasy team, it's creating less "oh, lecaf vs estro? autovote" and more "oh well, i better at least check what the lineups are." It's creating a lot more dynamic proleague that I'm really really excited to follow!

wow, ACE are for real, casy showed some amazing skills and low econ style. Surprisingly Reach got totally outmicro'd by bisu, not that surprising tbh but I've expected him to come short in other aspects of the game, not exactly this one

Yeah, it didn't feel like the usual rape. I think they are a month or so away from being a decent PL team, good enough to not be overlooked by anyone. They gave T1 a really good fight, which despite its horrible record on PL, has one of the best individual lineups out there.
What I noticed from the last 2 ACE games:
- Although they are not going to win the PL, this is not anymore a team that others can afford to send their benchwarmers against anymore. This team on a good day could beat anyone.
- I thought Casy was going to be terrible, but his display today was brilliant. Such a shame he was against the fastest TvTer right now. Seems like he hasn't lost the Neo-Emperor touch.
- Reach. He was manly as always, but Bisu's defense was extraordinary. But no worries. Not a lot of protoss out there that can take his one-two punch and not hit the floor instantaneously.
- Anytime. He did good last match, and he did as well in this one. No shame in losing to BeSt. He will come through. I still believe Anytime is the one to become the new flagship of this generation's ACE.
Oh yeah, I also learned that T1 + Zerg = LMFAO. I hope this was just one game or I'm going to hate myself for putting Thezerg in my Fantasy PL team.

I remember some years ago, I think it was just right after they moved to their new T1 house, Boxer saying in an interview that mumyung was one of the zergs with the most raw talent and potential, but that for some unknown reason he kept failing, especially at individual leagues. I never liked mumyung, but Boxer was right about oov and stork, so he really must have seen something in him.

Which will explain why despite all the talent Boxer saw in him, he never achieved anything.

ACE will be winning games pretty soon. They just happened to stumble upon a resurrecting T1. You have to admit that facing Fantasy, Bisu and BeSt in mirror mu's it's a hardball for any team. Actually what we saw should make us hopeful for the upcoming games of ACE.

TheZerg probably thought ZvZ = easy since his 3 hatch no pool against his T1 zerg comrades seem to work every time.
