Piano seems the obvious one to drop out given his TvP isn't great. But this being the season of upsets, who knows? Rain is too much of an X factor to predict. Just seems to never take the game seriously/play much but then rocks up to ASLs and qualifies pretty easily. Logic says Snow and Hero but I dunno. I think Rain is gonna make it so one of Snow/Hero drops out. Could all come down to matchups. Piano not great at TvP but I think he'd beat Hero TvZ. Snow > Piano Rain > Hero Rain > Snow Piano > Hero Snow > Piano or Snow > Piano Rain < Hero Hero > Snow Piano < Rain Snow < Rain Snow v Rain is a toss up but I don't like Snow's chances vs Hero.

Really wanna see Piano take out Rain 0-2, but Rain might even survive if for whatever reason hero isn't (soft) hydra busting and Rain gets dmg with a DT. Bisu knows how to counter hero really well, so he may have giving old team mate By.Sun some tips for today.

Looked ike his game plan was hitting probes with lurkers at both expos and then just comfortably out macro while keeping control of the high ground slap at Snow's mineral only (and then end once 2-0 kicked in, I imagine.) It seemed like herO was also actively trying to bluff dropping Snow's main, but Snow didn't get fooled by it.

Why right click and pray you will wreck it before all zealots are killed? This the tournament of tournaments. But tbf I don't think Snow would have gone for that trade even if he could have. Seems like the sacrifice is just too big, unless you're already far ahead.

The funny thing is if he didn't fake that, Snow would be left wondering whether Hero builds a Lair in his main. But since he does that, Snow knows for sure that this guy is up to something, that's why he puts not one but two cannons down right after. Kind of a shame that the 2 English casters are both Zerg players but the best guess Saiyan could come up with to explain Snow's decision is "did he catch the retreating vision" And the crazy thing is that without that fake Lair, Snow may have died to the hydra bust. There's 12 Hydras at his door when it happens and with only 2 cannons he'd probably die.

True, but the major difference is qualitative. If Bisu qualifies than both Z and P will have two title contenders (or at least pretty good players) each, but if JD qualifies than Z will have three contenders and P will only have Snow

I really enjoy zvp but god i hate hydra busts. It's such an annoying aspect of the matchup since even in the highest level execution of it is so easy compared to defending it. Map makers should really just make maps unfavorable to hydra busts by feature. They did make all maps almost only one entrance that can be blocked anyways like it fixed broodwar it would fix the stupid matchup imbalance cause zvp outside that looks actually competitive for both races

Winners Game 1, FE. Winners Game 2 zealot archon: total victory. Does anybody still doubt zealot archon? Flash is literally quoted to insult Snow saying, "he played like the computer" in the last season. FE is what causes you to lose, protoss! I cannot believe FE is still a thing.

It is not hydrabust win, rather FE build order loss. Hydras themselves are also deadend units. It is a race to the bottom to see who can sack their lategame the hardest. PS: I still don't know how winners games maps differed so wildly from the final games maps. When you start with octagon and end with knockout, I can tell it is very pvz unfavoured.
