I really enjoy zvp but god i hate hydra busts. It's such an annoying aspect of the matchup since even in the highest level execution of it is so easy compared to defending it. Map makers should really just make maps unfavorable to hydra busts by feature. They did make all maps almost only one entrance that can be blocked anyways like it fixed broodwar it would fix the stupid matchup imbalance cause zvp outside that looks actually competitive for both races | ||

Its the only all in in BW where there is no trade off or penalty of any (meaningful) kind for the initiator. You either win or continue playing on even grounds. | ||

It is not hydrabust win, rather FE build order loss. Hydras themselves are also deadend units. It is a race to the bottom to see who can sack their lategame the hardest. PS: I still don't know how winners games maps differed so wildly from the final games maps. When you start with octagon and end with knockout, I can tell it is very pvz unfavoured. | ||
