(JD vs SK 2nd game in the final, JD won the tournament)
JD had some note in notepad that he read in a ceremonial way, the translator is weak and i could not get the full meaning but it was something like visualization/mantra/affirmation/promise to himself?

? Bro jaedong won last week's Escore cup
He did, but started playing worse after, lost in first round to a weak tier 4 player in this weeks... also generated some losses in other matches that shouldnt have happened

He won the whole tournament just 7 days ago, ofc he isn't going to try as hard this time
It's really weird to say he's in bad shape when he just won Escore week 1 championship

Why wouldnt he try hard this time just because he won last?
Thats a really strange way of thinking, especially if you regard him having a winners mindset etc.
Like why would Jordan care about finals 3-6 since he won the first 2

Thats one thing, I mostly reacted to the logic that he wasnt trying to win.
Escore isn't super motivating due to it's small prize pool. Like ok last week he wanted to win it because he's never collected an Escore title before. So he fired himself up and grabbed the week 1 championship. But after that, it's "been there, done that". ASL is more motivating because it's the premier broodwar tournament and has a decent payout.
Also jaedong has never won an ASL yet so that's super motivating. Btw I'm no JD fan, look at my avatar, I cheer for protoss players not filthy zerg players XD

Yeah I dont buy that. He lost cause he played poorly not because lack of motivation

This tournament's kind of wild. Not just one but multiple upsets are bound to happen. It's almost the norm that some of the top 8 ASL players are eliminated in the earlier rounds every week.

Yea, the King of Kings is Friday night 7pm!
Looks like Soma is taking a break, so Snow is taking his spot in the bracket
