I feel like Royal's gotta keep his streak up of scrubbing out of Ro16 after his ASL victory. I checked the stats and he's got a streak of three for going 0-2 in the Ro16 | ||

Probably Sharp/Light but no result will be terribly shocking. Will be interesting to see if Stork tries to match it with the terrrans or go for risky carrier builds. | ||

Barracks legit scares me...it feels like people constantly make the mistake of underestimating him...just a question of if by now Snow has picked up on this and actually respects him. | ||

The bottom bracket seems somewhat easy to predict Rush>>Rain, Hero>Sharp, Rush > Hero. The upper bracket however is all a big toss-up. Online, Light would be heavily favored against SK, but Soulkey seems to always have an ace under his sleeve reserved for high-stake ASL matches, and Light is a choker. Still I would slightly favor Light but it's close to 55/45 for me. Snow in top shape should beat even this improved version of Barracks, but he has been far from his peak for a long time (possibly related to just having a baby? compounded by the Terran-favored maps). If Snow and SK win, I'd give SK the edge but not by much. The only potential match in the upper bracket that seems easy to predict is SK > Barracks. | ||

But we also have one of the most stacked rounds of 8. Sharp - 2nd place ASL1 & KSL2, crapload of Round of 8. 3rd-4th once. Snow - 2nd place ASL5 & 8. 3rd-4th twice. HerO - 2nd place ASL4 & 17. 3rd-4th 5 times. Won 11th SonicTV BJ Starleague with basically an ASL line-up. Rush - 2nd place ASL12 & 14. 3-4th once. Made round of 8 every time, except season 15, since season 10. Light - 1st place ASL13 & KSL4, 2nd in ASL9. Soulkey - 1st place in ASL16 + 17 & KSL2. Rain - 1st place in ASL5 & KSL3. 2nd place KSL4 & ASL13. Barracks - first round of 8. (First ASL was season #9) | ||

Ro8 is looking LIT. Barracks vs Snow is gonna be a great way to start off the Ro8 with the way Barracks has been playing. | ||

Citing the results of a single series against Rush and Sharp is uninformative (sample size is 1). Since August 1st, his win rate against Rush is 39% (9W/14L). In the same period, he has played only 4 games against Sharp, so also largely uninformative, but he has lost 3 of the 4 matches. I've never been impressed by Hero's skill. His unit control is often lackluster, just last season against sharp he rallied units across the map and got them killed without doing anything with them. | ||

Soulkey might as well take the 2nd place in ro16, and he would have had an easier opponent in ro8. Normally I have seen SK favored against Light, but this map pool is killing him. | ||
