Earnings are estimated in KRW. Source:
eloboard.com This month I added a separate table for K-League and also the earnings column for a bit of fun.
First of all, for those who wonder where the hell
Bisu and
Hero were last month: yes, they didn't play a single competive game in May.
Bisu went on vacation and caught Covid and said he needed time to recover. But no worries, he just noticed on Afreeca that he'll be back tomorrow. Meanwhile
Hero had an accident and needed to have surgery on his index finger, and while he could still play a bit (and beat 99% of the ladder with his other 4 fingers), he surely couldn't play Proleagues. But the guy will be back soon as his injured finger was no longer on stitches a couple of days ago.
Back to Major Proleague.
Light once again had a fantastic month with 70.8% win rate. He played 19 Major Proleagues, winning 14 of them, and probably was the MVP 75% of the times. He's been at the top 3 of the Proleague table for 5 months in a row.
At second place is no other than
Snow - the only player who can be considered (slightly) favorite against
Light at the moment - although his win rate has been declining from 75% (March) to 65% (April) and 56% (May).
Snow just became father at the beginning of May, so that could be a factor affecting his performances recently. But he's still 2nd!!
At third place is
Rush at 54%, continuing his good form from last month. After him, we have a series of players with win rates very close to each other, from 45 to 54%, which really shouldn't be read too much into as only one or two wins would change their positions. Nevertheless, the "mid-table Zerg phenomenon" continues to occur as none of the Zergs have a win rate over 50% this month (this counts
Jaedong in as well because his 53.7% was padded a bit by playing some K-Leagues).
Shuttle, again, is at the bottom part of the table. This month his win rate saw an improvent, increasing from 28.1% last month to 45.3% now - this is a combination of some good performances in Major Proleague and him spending some time in K-League. Meanwhile.
Royal had a huge dip compared to last month, finishing bottom of the table at 42.6%.
Funnily, the two at the bottom of the table,
Shuttle and
Royal, earned almost as much as the No.1 player -
Light.
Royal in particular didn't even have to play much. He just happened to be on the winning teams most of the times.
Talking about earnings from Proleague, the K-League table really shows a stark contrast in incomes between the two leagues, at least for this month.
sSak started streaming and playing more this month (funny that he didn't play much during the ASL season) and showed his quality. He's one the few K-League players who can compete in Major Proleague just fine. The other usual suspects,
Effort,
Sharp, and
Stork, are of course also top of the K-League table, although in May,
Rain just casually dropped in some times and beat everyone to have a ridiculous win rate of 89%.
Finally,
Tyson and
Movie returned to the scene this month after a long absence to help the poor Protoss line-up.
Tyson is kind of decent in K-League at 43.8% but
Movie should really uninstall the game, being at 17.4%.
