Just ranged gollies + irradiate fucks that up so badly =[. Just might work if you switch and as surprise kill 1-2 exps with it I guess.

fucking flash and screwing savior with the map god stfu, flash just outplayed savior here. perfect execution of mech vs. zerg. stop blaming the map.

LOL @ monty hall comparison. The map was so badly balanced it was redesigned for zerg balance. Everyone was right about that map and, chances are, they are right about this one.

although I don't think that I am smarter than the pros, and they know what they are doing, i continually thought this to myself the entire time. He went 2 hatch before pool, it just felt if he would have all in hydra'd faster he could have done a lot of damage. I realize that if flash scouted it he could have blocked / tanked, but it seems more effective than waiting for flash to set up a 3 base turtle off of like 10+ factories.

Well then, another Monty Hall reference, most, if not all Terrans won against Zergs on it. Another reason why statistics should not judge how bad a map is.

If it's the map then it's still Savior's mistake. You don't play on a map that is imbalanced against zerg as a zerg. Send out a T or a P.

im not critizising the play, it was great mech
but it might be a while until zerg come up with something on this map

GTR-2-Go obviously hasnt seen the games on it if he talks like this...
The only Z win was July vs UpMagic, where upmagic played horribly and made a ton of mistakes.
The other 5 games the zergs were totally dominated

Actually I have. Mech is easily counterable if known how to play against it. The only Z win was because Up decided to go bio. The thing is most modern day zerg players have little knowledge whatsoever to combat mechanic play, since it is so rare. Zergs might have to go back to school.

After watching that game, I really have to wonder what Zerg players will do to try and deal with the situations around that map.

yes mech is easily countered, zerg just need to find out how to on this map
im sorry for being bias, i just hated watching that game.

No its not easily counterable if you look at the map, how would you go about countering it?
Those minerals and double gas is just too imba for a terran.

Yeah cause muta ling or hydra muta or guard hydra would be so effective vs 3-4 gas terran metal.
Aka irradiate golliath tank.
If'you don't get an insane advantage on that map and keep the terran totally boxed up from start you're pretty fucked seems to be the case.

Savior wasted like 10 ultras on Flash's mass tanks + mines. He tried to attack it 3 or 4 times with just a few ultras. Had he done one big attack, the result might very well have been different.

a few hydras vs. vultures at expo would have helped as well

yeh that is true
he was fucked anyway there was nothing he could do to secure expos and keep some pressure on

I was expecting more dropping though, ling/ultra bombing ;P.
Weakest point of a tank heavy army is mobility I guess. But mines are a *bitch*.
More bombing + half a dozen mutas to clear up mines would have gone a long way.
Long story short, the map is extremely gay but a bigger Mix of units would have helped Savior alot.
