Mihu, The Ultimate Weapon!

Thank you so much for the post! One small suggestion: The name of this tournament should be something like "Spring cup S3 & China and Korea BW Invitational", as Sanpao is a commenter but not the sponsor. The total prize pool is RMB 200,000 (~$31,360), 100% from Fanny.

Btw, after the Kor qualifier group C matches today, Snow played two bo3 show matches with Caicaizerg and LX. He killed two probes at the beginning of each game and still managed to win both bo3...

Alright thanks for the info!! Hope to see good games although might be one sided.

At one point, he grabbed a Zealot and ran it around 2 Lurkers for fun, without losing a single HP and without Observer...

QiaoGeGe just lost to Light 0:7 - he must be really upset as he would get ~$1,500 from Chinese sponsors for each game he took. I think this prize pool is a new record.
So far, every Korean player has been playing 100% seriously. Normally it is difficult to make sure top Korean players play seriously as they tend to let their non-Kor opponent win 1 game in a bo5/bo7 match. The rule of this Spring cup (rmb500 for each win) has worked well and there seems to be a consensus among those Korean players that nobody wants to lose a single game. Maybe we will see a total score of 0:56? Let's see...

He certainly went into some games with a troll like approach, even though it cost him game 1. The last game was too much though with the lurker drops.

I didn't see anyone feel offended or disrespected. And the host also asked Best to play 2 more friend matches after the 7 games. Best used units in the game to troll, I think that's fine. The Chinese players do those things to each other all the time, just like a banter. But trash talk or use something not in the game(the foot game, for example) would cross the line

Well, this was indeed a brutal tournament for the Chinese players...I guess this is what happens when top non-Kor players meet top-tier Kor players. 2500-2700mmr vs. 3200mmr+ is a slaughter...
|
Thanks for reporting on this and congrats to all the players involved. Still a really cool event.
Also I noticed liquipedia pages have been created for the Chinese players. Great job doing that as well
|
Even though it was one-sided it goes to show the current skill gap between high tier Korean and non-Korean players. Mihu vs Mini was essentially BSL Champ vs ASL Champ and we can see what the result was which was 0-7 in the end. Great event and hope to see more of these in the future! Good job to the organizers and thank you!
|
Soma just lost to Mini 0:3 and didn't really stand a chance in those games. I guess the skill gap exists even at the top Korean player's level
|
Where and how can I watch the vods? It's all in chinese on Mihus (?) stream

|
Finals right now, Snow vs Hero, bo9.
