+) Thank you for helping me make the poster, Vly, EunDi, and Team Liquid v1!
Sounds fun, but I expect some unfair situations where a group of people attack someone to eliminate him first. Which would mean pretty much random players qualify until the last round. Maybe the best players will get eliminated first! Can't wait to see what it will turn into
It was already enjoyable watching all the best non-Koreans play on the worst maps, and now you're telling me I have a chance to see Soma, Light and Mini duke it out on Crazy Critters?
Hehe this will be interesting. I don’t know how top Koreans play FFA but I know when top foreigners played FFA, the successful strategies seemed to be the ones that were conservative/defensive and slowly but steadily took more and more of the map while building up an OP unit combination.
It's happening! I've always though FFA and Melee formats would be amazing even if pros play in em.
CasterMuse pushing the limits! I hope ASTL picks it up!
I do think the payout structure is BRUTAL tho. Just like in Highlander tho there can be only one!
It is going to be a lot of fun.
Responding to arbiter_md now: Life is not fair! It was never fair and it will never be fair. It is natural that people will get ganged on. And it is a good thing that may prevent campers which have advantage. Assuming good awareness which pros should have.
You can see the TeamThinkQuick FFA I participated in against 7 non korean pros here:
LUCKY_NOOB, you just sat there but you still can achieve 2nd place in the game.
I think kind of FFA map should have some rules to help games that end soon than and avoid boring for viewers and players. Example, all players must be out game if they have less than 20 units after 30 minutes.
On 'regular ffa maps' I agree, but on these maps I think terran might just be king. They're probably not very big maps, and they don't have too many expansions, and it's hard to beat terran for cost.
Depends on ressources distribution, but the longer the game goes the more options Protoss has. Even Vessels are kind of hard for Zerg, but i think the worst thing for Zerg is the fact. That isnt cant really use the Queen to gets freekills on reavers and Archons. A big problem on chokes like Blood bath. While Protoss can storm, Mc, etc. Vs Terran it is also hard with the siege tank and free marines, but at least you can somewhat kill its tanks. While the cloack runns down and eats your stuff with irradiate.

Idea : organize a bad map contest for the next FFA championships map pools
It looked like the players also had a lot of fun, I'm curious how the event was perceived for koreans, did they enjoy it?
Every single stream on afreeca from the participants had a dip in viewership whilst those games were played, compared to regular numbers before the games or for primetime KR hours.
The viewership rapidly sky-rocketed once Mini and Larva started playing 1-on-1 with LoL player Dopa on FS.
