Flash is seriously starting to ruin these tournys for me, he beats everyone nonstop, they're not even fun games. I my as well stop watching flash games because I know how they all go. He plays a passive, turtely style and somehow scouts any and all attempts at cheese or trickery, and wins in late game. Most boring bonjwa ever. Flash is awesome. I can appreciate anyone who has become a true master of something. His ability to win will never deter me. In regards to Bisu, he is weak to Flash, Mind, and Hero. He is strong against Larva. I don't think there was any scenario where Bisu wins this ASL. He was just as likely to lose to Mind imo. There are certain players that will always be hard counters to his style in all matchups. I think that there is something beyond his raw skill that prevents him from winning games when he gets to this stage of a tournament.

To be brutally honest, his game 3 build suggests to me that he did not take Bisu seriously anymore... he already knew he would win. They are (semi-)professionals and it is actually foolish of me to assume such a thing... but really. He probably thought there is a high chance he loses to carriers on that map anyway, might as well try to surprise Bisu. Bisu on the other hand. His PvT looked really good from all the streamed matches and what we saw during the last few months, right? The way he played today reminded me why his PvT was never considered very good in the classic area. He just played bad strategically. The triple stasis in game 2 plus still attacking into that choke... really? The shuttle-play in game 4, and shortly afterwards attacking into the 3rd... not one Psi-Storm the entire series. It still blows my mind that someone who revolutionized one matchup is so much worse at the other non-mirror. I miss Jangbi.

![]() Bisu could've done so many things so much better in all the games he lost; awful choice of build game 1, crap engagements (the attack on the 3rd made no sense at all, ans after all these years, why does he still stasis all the units at the front of Flash's army as he was pushing out?) after putting himself far ahead game 2 and I don't even know what to say about that waste of two full speed shuttles game 4. Can't fault Flash for straight up being a much better player. It's everyone else who has to step up their game.

He won game 1 with a beautifully timed push in the mid game.

I've seen him crush people text book style for almost ten years now, its getting old. At the very least he could play with a little more...flash. I usually agree with you, but FlaSh doesn't turtle bad at all. Just look at this series. G1 early attack, G2 went to 3-2 because he was behind, 100% typical terran play in general and necessary in this situation, G3 some cool marine stuff, G4 went from 150 supply attack. At best 0.5/4 games were what I'd call "turtly". Yea, the guy is dominant; but I love watching that. It's insane the things he figures out, and watching how he plays is just fascinating. It's like watching a guy running a 3:45 mile or lifting 1000lbs...the awe and beauty of those sorts of things make them worth watching in their own right. I'd like to see a challenger to FlaSh to add to the series drama, but watching FlaSh play BW is a special privilege in and of itself; and that level of mastery will never get old. Also, don't forget there is Bisu v Larva as part of finals for 3rd place match. Should be lots of great BW. ![]()

He messed up badly in 3/4 games and Flash half gifted him game 3.

God damn! He just doesn't die. He always somehow despite losing 20 tanks has another 20 tanks from somewhere. I would love to be that good damn! I wanted Bisu to win today, but sadly that wasn't to be. Flash fighting for the finals!

Well how did he mess up badly in game 2 for example, other than letting Flash max out and get 2/1? The alternative would be trying to crack Flash's defense earlier, which is a pretty tall order.

My stream froze right then but I went back and saw the vods. I was floored to see such piss poor engagement, like holy shit. Bisu might be amazing at macro, early game micro and early game decisions but his late game micro or decisions are just soooooooo terrible. Flash was solid but should've lost that game 2, no way around it imo.
