It's Brood War, you can easily make a new profile for tournament use unlike SC2.
A friendly reminder too that you do not need to own SC:R to play in this tournament. BW is free for everyone now!
Prize (minimum USD $50):
1st: 75% + 60 OSC Points
2nd: 25% + 30 OSC Points
3rd: 20 OSC Points
4th: 10 OSC Points
5th - 8th: 5 OSC Points
9th-16th: 2.5 OSC Points
Everyone: Additional 2.5 OSC Points for participating
*Points count towards the SC:R OSC league, mini SC:R Championship projected for late Jan-Feb

Speed: Fastest
Turn Rate: 8
Custom Hotkeys: Enabled
Map pool: Varies
As we're new in the BW scene, we may be modifying rules / map pool quite often, so be sure to check the Challonge description before the start of the tournament. We hope to see more people participating and have a stacked end-of-season championship!

is cool to cast live games,but u also know it will cause lag for players,think about casting replays thanks playing in turn rate high lat is not cool.

saturday or sunday or even friday after 7pm but that time seems ... unplayable for normal workingclass

It's Friday 4 am for me, in D.C., which means its not viable for anyone in the Americas/Canada. But yeah, this time choice was bizarre.

Rotfl at that start time. I understand you are for Asia, but if you want to see more foreigners playing it you should change it to saturday or sunday.

Hi all, for this week's open, we'll be shifting it to Saturday instead of Friday. Time will still be the same as there's 2 cups a few hours after the start of this cup.

I'll do my best to help finish the tournament in 3 hours tomorrow. We try not to do Sundays because we don't want it to clash with our other SC2 events. Hopefully this shift to Saturday will only be a one-off!

Unfortunately no, cups will only be $50 from now. SC:R Opens will only run every alternate Fridays from now. The Monday cups will start once we can find a caster for it!

Sorry, this is the time our casters can make it. Also afaik it's 11AM for PDT and 2PM for EDT. Will be ~7PM in EU.
