Yea they surprised me too. Usually when GoRush plays, they game doesn't start under 20 minutes of set up. Surprised me too . Sorry that I mislead you ^^.

I was going to get a shower anyway . The only problem about watching from so far away is that you don't really see the lings or the zealot, just the little flashes the shield makes when the zealot is hit.

I was surprised that the 1st drop was able to slaughter midas' mm force in the main like it was nothing. Thought midas was set up to deal with the drop, and yet it did decent dmg anyways :O

Not really. Midas lost 4 tanks carelessly to one lurker which costed him the game IMO.
sAviOr played unusually early-aggressvie this game and Midas defended quite well.

Normally when you have tanks back like that you decide to either go forward with your MM and try to pop the OLs before they can unload or you fall back so the lurks do no damage. Midas kind of stayed in the middle not attacking the lords yet letting his MM get shredded. In a game that close there are so many things either player could have done to change the outcome.

Well, if i was midas I would have done the same thing. Better in the RO16 with little pressure than face him in the semis and choke again, no? From his perspective, he has to play against him at some point to win the OSL, so better earlier than later .

The island expansion was an extremely smart move by Savior, since he figured Midas had no dropships and an elimination race would ultimately result in his victory. I don't see how having those extra tanks would have helped him... Savior already had a big enough lead on recovering that even if Midas were to secure some resources, he would be way behind
And you could also say Savior was so close to morphing those extra lurkers in his base that were all killed, and his defilers being just a bit too late.
Stop taking credit away from Savior.

no he doesnt, there are plenty of capable tvz, hwasin, casy, or a zvz can beat savior. plus its mad hard to stay in the OSL, you want to finish in one of the seeds so you auto-qualify for next time, not get eliminated in the ro16 just because you have some stupid personal choice to play the hardest opponent. dumb move on midas' part.

Little late, but damn did Midas blow that game. Even though I was rooting for savior all the way, midas just BLEW it.

having those tanks would have meant that the OL over lurker would have posed no problem for midas, and he would have been able to defend 12 with no problems after wiping out savior's main.
Then fly the vessles over to the island for double irrad and gg drones.

Well, with the tanks he could have easily destroy Saviors main and remaining forces and rebuild while killing the island drones with irridiate.

getting valks plagued REALLY changed the game, as oov had an opportunity to prolong his life.

That was GREAT play from yellow there. The plague and using his saved up huge muta army. He has gained some respect from me at least. ;p

if he dropped 2 tanks and 16 m&m on the expo itself it'd have been completely different

I am in shock that he actually managed to break that, a loa his final during 2005 ever.
july runs up the center passage, but casy's next wave comes and scare off the lings, mutas regrouping to do some harass.
july starts nat hatch.
july mutas killing some scv and rines in casy's main.

lings now at casy's ramp, muta ling kill a few things mut too many rines, vessle is out for casy, his foce moving down through teh passage, mutas harassing the back part of the lines, irrad on the mutas, but the mutas in general has very low hp as it is.

Better than average games tonight for sure but here's my take:
+ Show Spoiler +
-Much vs. GoRush perfectly play by Much leads to onesided rape
-Savior vs. Midas Double elimination race, island expansion, floating buildings and micro. Very good game.
-Oov vs. Yarnc Impressive play by Yarnc throughout including a flashy plague+muta>valk -> guardian.
-Casy vs. July fast tank push reduces July to 1 hat but he holds on a surprising amount of time with insane micro.
I think it's a close call between games 2 and 3, Midas/Savior gets my vote though for best.
