Honestly Lecaf needs to have someone go thru the 2v2 players last games and see what they have planned, chances are if 1 team is a great sucsess a team like mbc with limited 2v2 options will try it again. Pusan/July wasnt all that great but 910/thezerg worked.

I think it's also to do with the lack of boxer's strategic mind feeding strats to the team. Even if he wasn't single handedly coming up with all the ideas, I'm sure he was a great guy to bounce ideas off of, and to spot flaws in strats and the like.

Personally, I think it's pretty tough, because of the amount of training it requires. A lot of the successful 1v1ers have to train in 1v1 for individual leagues already, and time to practise 2v2 must be quite limited.

This is the third straight time I've seen Anytime slowly gain a slight advantage in PvP due to smart play or superior BO, then get completely crushed in the final encounter between the two armies. First time was vs Reach on Sin Peaks when he did quite alot of damage with a reaver drop and then by killing Reach's second expo, only to get completely murdered by mudang storms. Then there is the game vs Pusan today when he manages to stop Pusan's expo and get a nice lead, but got raped somehow as the game went on (I think he should have pulled back after winning the first battle). Then right now, the earlier expo vs Bisu translated to absolutely nothing somehow. I wonder exactly what he is doing wrong; he just seems to lack the final 'ooomph" when it counts. Sounds like a familiar medical problem. Performance anxiety? http://www.askmen.com/love/love_tip_60/79_love_tip.html

All 3 games were similar like that... Anytime always seems to be missing a few units when the big battle comes. Also, his troop placement is a little inferior in those battles as well....

Light is their best choice, but against Savior or Much he'd need something special

I don't think MBC would send out July, probably Light or Pusan both of which I think Iris has a good shot at, especially light. Of course, Savior is Savior is Savior.

I don't think it was that... What happened in the 2v2 was that July got rushed hard and had no support from his partner. It was probably the other team's strat to get rid of him early.

Well, MBC has T: Sea, Light Z: July (Saint) P: Pusan, Bisu Everyone of those guys is just as good as the CJ players you mentioned (with the exception of Saviour). However, I think CJ has a very strong 2v2 lineup, which will give them the edge over MBC.

Terrans: Iris/Xellos vs Sea/Light Definatly advantage to MBC, sea/light are dominating lately... and iris is only raelly strong tvt and xellos isnt too strong nowadays Zergs: Savior/Jy vs July CJ have a huge advantage here, savior and jy are amazing players while july is in the middle of a slump... Protoss: Much vs Pusan/Bisu Could go either way, Much is on form in nearly every mu (not sure about pvz) while pusan is fighting back from a slump with avengence and bisu is starting to lose a bit.. id tend to give MBC a slight edge 2v2: not sure about CJ but MBC has 910/Thezerg and saint/bisu -> both killer teams on the field

He is competitive vs anyone, although he doesn't dominate. I personally think CJ's lineup on Paper is far stronger than MBC's. You guys really underestimate SL regulars CJ has. Iris, Xellos, Savior, these guys are always favorites in group stages in bo1s. I think MBC's got the heart if anything, but CJ has got raw talent. Plus, Iris will not lose again to Bisu in any similar fashion. Given that, I think Iris' chances vs almost anyone cept July on MBC is good.

XellOs may not currently be in his best shape (as compared to before) but he is still very scary to deal with. it would be great if Iris played a TvT, his strongest matchup.
