By that time it was just a 50:50 chance where pusan had to defend the best he could but by that time was already fucked due to midas's build | ||

On December 03 2006 00:04 Plexa wrote: hmm so did pusan take his 2nd expo really early or what? those reports were confusing x.x Ah, sorry. midas went for 2fac with shop, speed, mine, no mode, moved out with like five tanks five vults. pusan got nat with like six goons. mines split pusan's army, half of it died to tank fire/mines, other half retreated to join reinforcements from his main. however, midas army too strong and it forced pusan to cancel nexus. then some more nice mine/tank micro and pusan lost everything. last minute or so was just vultures and tanks slaughtering a mass of probes, pusan couldn't move up his dragoons because of mines. eventually midas just killed last dragoon with tank/vult and pusan surrendered. | ||

Midas fakes the FD and instead goes 2-fac with marines. Pusan gets 2-gates, than (and here is his mistake) went for reavers while expanding at his nat. Midas' push was excellently timed, coming with unseiged tanks, speed+mine vultures, and marines. To block that Pusan should've went 3-gate, mixing in some zeals. If he had chosen only one of either the robo or the 2nd nexus he could've had a chance. Instead he got greedy, taking robo tech and nexus with only 2 gates and resting goon production. Granted, he did have around 9 goons at that time, so it might have looked safe. But Midas had two facs, plus a handful of marines to make the difference. | ||

So, Pusan had bad fighting and bad army management to top off the bad build. I don't know what happened to this guy. | ||

The robo/obs bay still cost money he could've used for troops out of a third gateway though, so your point still stands. | ||
